If you've spent any time at the velodrome, or at the start of a time trial, you've most likely heard the term "crack-pipe" at one point or another, which usually gets an odd look from the uninitiated. And, while there could be a "doping" reference in there somewhere, what the riders are referring to is the adapter used to inflate a disc wheel with a floor pump.
The Silca version is a lightweight aluminum adapter that features threads at the pump end to secure it to the head of your floor or hand pump. The 90-degree turn fits inside the shallow cut-out around the valve on the wheel to allow you to easily pump your disc to full, race-ready pressure. It is lightweight and fits in your saddle bag so you'll always have it at-the-ready.

Nothing seems to get attention like being the one person who can inflate a disc wheel all by yourself at a TT. Works well enough that I have just left it on my pump (an old Silca) for about 6 months and use it a few times a week, very happy. But at the state TT, I ended up with a line of people using the thing for probably 20 minutes, I bet a dozen people inflated their discs with it after the first person asked 'how are you doing that?'
I've used the brass Silca chuck, the silver aluminum Silca and the Problem Solvers before this and all of them required holding the chuck with one hand while pumping with the other. This one is significantly better than those, it can be tough to push on, but then stays put and seals solid to to 125psi. The only downside is that it can actually be hard to get off of the valve when you are done, you really have to push hard to get it off as it really grabs the valve pretty tightly.
