Summer Moon 2 Tent: 2-Person 3-Season

Sierra Designs wanted to make a budget-friendly backpacking tent that gave users a lightweight backpacking experience without busting the bank. And so, the Summer Moon 2 Tent was born. At just under $200, the Summer Moon gives backcountry travelers a reliable option to pack up the car on a Friday night and head into the woods. The durable, water-resistant floor holds up in the shoulder season when the weather can go from sunny to thunderstorms in two-minutes flat. When the weather doesn't threaten to soak you, leave off the rain-fly for an uninterrupted view of the Big Dipper or Orion's Belt.

Most importantly, this tent's trail weight clocks in at about three-and-a-half pounds so you have more room for food, water, or marshmallow roasting sticks. Part of it's lightweight nature comes from the 2-pole set-up which reduces the amount of time you spend getting ready for camp so you can spend more time around the campfire with friends.
