Why We Like The Sixty Cycling Shoe
Sidi began crafting their Italian-made cycling shoes 60 years ago with founder Dino Signori. Decades of Tour success later, Sidi delivers their lightest shoe for racing to the top of Pro podiums. Sidi based on the Sixty off of their popular Shot Carbon shoe, and lightened up the construction with an integrated heel piece and streamlined TECNO-4 closure.
Sidi’s Vent Carbon Sole supports this pro-level shoe with a supremely stiff sole for optimal power transfer. The Vent Carbon holds true to its name with a closeable vent that can be adjusted for comfort across the seasons, whether open for summer switchbacked climbs or closed for those autumn mornings. The opposing angles of the carbon weave provide great stiffness to the sole, while a minute amount of flex in the toe helps relieve pressure on the plantar tendon, aiding in better circulation and comfort for the long haul. The sole is 3-bolt road cleat compatible and features Sidi’s replaceable heel and toe rubber pads to extend the lifespan of these speed slippers.

Good Shoes -- interesting closure mechan

The Sidi Sixty is definitely a fine bicycling shoe. It fits well (though one must prepare in advance for Italian sizing: add a size or two) and it functions well on the road. The closure system takes some getting use to. The small lever on the side of the wheel is key. One needs to keep pressing that while donning and doffing the show. Also the velcro strap seems to be of limited utility.

Awesome shoes!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
These shoes have a great stiff sole to launch a sprint or climb quickly. I wear a 44.5 in all my other sidis- shot, wires and the sizing is the same. They are lighter than my other sidis yet still retain the quality build. Highly recommend.

Clunky Techno-4 Boa, Velcro on Tongue
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I expected more from shoes costing $450, these are a real disappointment. The Sidi proprietary Techno-4 Boa style closure is fiddly and clunky, not user friendly. Newer Boa brand closures turn to tighten and loosen, this one-way-only closure has a spring loaded button to open, a separate small flip-up handle to tighten, and an even smaller red button to release the flip-up handle. Sidi needs to abandon this clunky, dated mechanism. There's also a Velcro strip on one side of the tongue and upper, designed to keep the tongue from moving, but it's unnecessary and annoying.

Great Quality poor fit !
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I have Several pairs of Sidi shoes and always order a 46 so I assumed fit would be the same as my wire2 and Tri shoes by Sidi I found that the Sidi 60 fit much larger than both the previous sidi and the heel slip was unacceptable. I do love the quality of the shoes from the naked carbon sole to the super cool designed upper but the fit has to work and these did not. I did order a 45.5 and length was fine but had a issue with heel slippage again and having the Boa on top only allows you to tighten so much and my foot doesn't have a lot of Meat on the bone so wouldn't work for me but i hate sending back because still think shoe is awesome. I do have a pair of lake cx402 size 46 and these are 10times more comfortable than the sidi shoes so I am just going to order the cx403s and stick with plain old white and black. For size ref i wear a size 12 in running shoes and always fall between 45.5 and 46.5 depending on which cycling shoe I buy Sidi Usually 46 , Shimano 46.5 , Fizik 45.5, lake 46 .
