Why We Like The Scarpa Reflex Climbing Shoe
After one day at the climbing gym, our little sender is hooked, so we pick up a pair of the Scarpa Reflex Climbing Shoe, knowing they'll be joining us at the gym and crag whenever they can. The neutral profile protects against the damage too-tight, too-aggressive shoes can have on developing feet, while the elasticated knit upper lets their feet flex and breathe freely. Equipped with Scarpa's innovative PAF system, this pair reduces tension on their Achilles, allowing a softer rubber to mold to their heel for a snug yet low-pressure fit. As they play with driving through their toes at different angles and on different holds, the sticky, resilient rubber gives their feet reliable bite on both plastic and rock.

Great climb shoe for kids

Very comfortable shoe for kids. Secure straps and flat for their feet

poor quality but do the job

This shoes worked ok for my 6-7 y.o. son, but they fall apart very fast. He's gone through 3 pairs in during the last year and the soles on all the pairs delaminate very badly within the first month of use. His foot is finally big enough for adult (women's) shoes and not only is he able to stand on much smaller holds, but I know they will last much longer. If you need shoes for your kid to go to the gym 1-2 times per month - these are probably perfect and seem to be reasonably comfortable. However, if the kid is more serious about it, I would recommend higher quality shoes.
