Bones EX 3 Bike Trunk Rack

Good product, but needs some improvements

I've used the Saris 3 times, after purchase 3 weeks age. The Good : It's very portable and installation after initial configuration is easy. The individual components are well made, but installation doesn't support the quality components The tightening straps (6) work well and keep the rack securely in place (they don't help with the seating of the rack feet, per my following comment) The Needs Improvement: The accompanying installation instructions are terrible, You Tube provides much better guidance. I wish the rack had a lock, the rack frame tightening screws could be more substantial. I'm mounting the Saris 3 on a 2018 Toyota Camry and I can't quite get the rack feet to align or seat well with the trunk and rear bumper.

Solid build and carries the bikes I need moved

A little vague for my particular car model (Bolt EUV) on whether the weight limit or the number of bikes drive what the EX3 is capable of. Regardless it as worked well so far when carrying two bikes. Much easier than trying to install a hitch on the Bolt! I would have liked more clear instruction on exactly where to put the feet (or tell me the exact position isn't as critical) as I was just going off the instruction image which isn't super detailed.

2600 mile round trip

Great carrier! I used it a few times for local trips amd it worked perfectly. I was definitely worried about a 1300 mile trip halfway across the country and back. The straps never loosened, or moved, the bikes never swayed. I am most impressed!

The Saris bike carrier worked great. It was very stable carrying my bike to London, Ky for the Redbud Ride.

Saris was my first choice. Loved the design. It was light and strong plastic. BUT I felt the company fell off it's mark by having cheap flimsy straps! I feel the straps was one component that shouldn't get Cheap on! Or anything for that matter. My other grip was that the hooks that lash onto the side of the SUV didn't sink into the slot of the hatchback! Then more straps problems... all the straps funneled through the center of the hub...I'm fine with that BUT the EDGES of this hub are sharp! Not what I want pulling and cutting into the already cheap webbing straps non the less holding 3 bikes! 😳 It definitely innerved me! And All this talk about buying American? What a joke! I returned it. I'm going for the more piece of mind Yakima or Thule car hitch which isn't that much more in cost!

Easy on/off, holds bikes securely, superior qualit

Excellent quality, easy to put on and take off. Very sturdy and securely held our bikes for several hours in each direction traveling to centuries. Celebration red is a gorgeous color and highly visible (safety) to vehicles traveling behind you. Fast shipping, very glad we bought this one over others. Superior quality.

The One and Only bike rack you'll ever need!

I purchased my Saris Bones 3-Bike Car rack approximately 28 years ago and it is still going strong. I usually only carry one bike but would not hesitate to add a second bike. Due to its age, I probably wouldn't add a third one considering that time and weather may have weakened some of non-metal parts. It's been an amazing bike rack...highly recommend it! My daughter purchased one after seeing how well mine has performed!

Great product!

This bike rack is no-fuss and very easy to use. Set up didn’t take long at all and I was out the door, riding my bike, in no time!
