very comfy
I love this boot. It is very comfy and no break in was needed. They run a little big 1/2 - 1 whole size. I am getting a second pair!

Best hiking boots ever
These hiking boots changed my life - sturdy yet so light, super comfortable and with good grip, they make you feel like you can do anything. Used on long trails, climbs, days out in nature. These boots can do it all and I love them to bits. 100% would buy again.

Disappointed
Only good thing I have to say about them is that they easy to slip on. They definitely not waterproof, my socks by my toes got wet just from walking in wet grass.

Great wide boot
Takes a fair bit to break in but worked out in the long run. Wide fit which is really hard to find. My only grip is the eyelits at the top stick out far too much. Women have more narrow gates then men, and if you are on a narrow path, especially coming down a mountain, these two inside top eyelits will catch each other. I nearly fell so many times. I had used them already so unable to return, so I got a hammer out and whacked them a few times to make them go more in. They are really tough so they only moved a bit but it seems enough to stop me tripping as much. Deducted one star for this. Salomon - please fix this!

Doesn’t hurt your feet
At first I was worried how bad it would hurt. This pair of shoes break in with just wearing once for a walk. It doesn’t hurt the feet afterwards

Used to be the best hiking shoe..
I’ve been buying versions of this shoe for at least 10 years. It used to be made in a more durable and better looking leather version. Now they only make the cheaper synthetic version. Looking for a new brand of shoe now..

Lightweight, durable, versatile
Fairly lightweight boot with good grip on a variety of terrains. I’ve used for both day hikes and longer back country trips with no complaints. Minimal break-in required. Only downside is the lack of arch support, but nothing a good pair of insoles can’t fix!

I really wanted to like these shoes but the sides keep digging into my ankles and the areas where there are creases hits my toes even w it h thick wool socks.

Very pleased
Bought these boots to day hike. Very comfortable out of the box and no blisters. Lower ankle coverage than our other Salomon hiking boots but very pleased. Has a very aggressive tread and very comfortable.
