Why We Like The Salomon Transfer Anorak
When cruising between the trees in the backcountry, we need a fully-featured jacket to keep us protected and comfortable. The Salomon Transfer Anorak is one of our top choices to shred beyond the boundaries due to its waterproof shell fabric, stylish design, and performance features. Featuring a 2-layer shell and AdvancedSkin Dry, the Transfer Anorak is fully waterproof and breathable. The adjustable helmet-compatible hood allows us to stay covered as we shred, and the powder skirt ensures the snow stays out of our jacket when we take a spill. The kangaroo pouch pocket and the zippered lift pass pocket on the sleeve store our essentials, while the underarm air vents allow us to release excess heat when we are getting too hot.

Very high quality shell. Snow barrier needs work
I bought this anorak for a recent trip to Whistler Blackcomb earlier this month. With temps near freezing and high winds at the peaks, this shell performed very well with a proper layering system. However, the elastic snow barrier was a bit useless for me as it had to be readjusted after basically every binding strap adjustment. Overall, I do recommend this jacket as it looks great and fits me well, 6'3 215 lbs, size L.
