Why We Like The Salomon Speedcross 6 GTX Trail Running Shoe
Early morning dew and afternoon rain showers don't slow us down when we're laced into Salomon's Speedcross 6 GTX Trail Running Shoe. This latest iteration weighs in lighter and bites harder, upping our tempo, while the breezy GORE-TEX membrane keeps our feet dry along the ride. As we stride atop sopping singletrack, the revamped sole releases mud as we go, keeping every strike solid for high-power toe-offs.

Best shoes ever worn
The shoes were perfect but there was one downside I wished the soles lasted a bit longer

Great Support, Terrific Shoe
I was on the hunt for a good hiking shoe, but one that was lightweight and had enough support to get me through a few different terrains (waterproof wouldn't hurt either). I took the advice of a hiking pal and decided to try out the Speedcross 6. I heard that they ran a little narrow (they do) and when I received my first pair, the fit was just a little too snug (the wide version was unavailable). I went a half a size up, and they were just perfect. Not too roomy, just enough to be comfortable, with the most support I think I've ever had in a shoe. I took them for a spin last weekend and they were all that I expected. Easy to move in, gripped well on dry and wet terrain and didn't weigh my foot down. Great shoe! Runs narrow.

The best trail runner
I am on my second pair and they have improved the tongue with a better waterproof system. The treads are better and more stability.

After 6 months still couldn't fit into this shoe
I purchased this waterproof shoe to manage my hiking in rainy days or wet trail. But unfortunately I am not happy with this pair and didn't carry this to Dolomites in this summer. Still after 6-7 months I don't feel comfortable, I still get occasional blisters at the back of my foot and sometime if I walk for longer hours it hurts my toes. It's sturdy, well-built and good looking but somehow it's not loving my feet, I can't comfortable wear even after 6-7 months. It's a bad purchase for me.

Great mobility and confort
From the first hike, these shoes were great! I usually get bruises from friction on my Achilles tendon for the first few weeks to "break in" new shoes, but these were fantastic right from the start—no bruises at all. As a physical therapist, I can confidently say these shoes are ideal for people with good ankle mobility and stability, making them perfect for hikes and trail running. Highly recommended!

Great Shoe
Took thee to Europe. Was able to use one shoe for challenging trail runs in the morning, to walks along cobblestone streets, then easy hikes to catch mountain top sunsets. these shoes did it all.

Awesome Shoes
This is my 5th pair of trail shoes and I love them. I originally bought them to walk/run on dirt roads and trails, but now I wear them to the office. I am on my feet for 9 hours at a time. I also recommend them to my patients.

Great shoes but wear quickly
Super comfortable! Maintained waterproofness very well. No splits anywhere on them after a year of wearing. I wear them every day but definitely don’t walk very far due to desk job 5 days a week. Had them about a year and they’ve nearly lost the grip on the soles of the shoes. I’d expect a bit more durability than this.
