Why We Like The Sense Ride 4 Invisible GTX Trail Running Shoe

We step into the Sense Ride 4, pull the laces tight, and slip through the trees for soul-reviving strides atop singletrack. The tight-knit mesh and flexible membrane stop debris and puddles from finding a way in while still letting our feet breathe and flex freely as they hop around roots and leap over caterpillar crossings. We easily find a flow with the lightweight foam underfoot softening our landings and rolling us into powerful toe offs, staving off fatigue as we venture beyond the summit.

Love Salomon Shoes

I bought these about a month ago. I love the lacing system vs traditional lacing. However, this model is not as comfortable as my Alpha Cross 4’s or 5’s. Sock choice is key for comfort with this model.

Pretty good

They’re alright, solid base and grip but the top material flimsy and runs against the top of the foot a bit. Outpulse is the best Salomon shoe ever made but of course it’s discontinued for some reason.

Sense ride

I’ve had these shoes for over a month now. Used them for hiking and golfing early in the morning with plenty of dew on the grass. My feet have stayed dry and cool. Very comfortable shoe to walk or run in. This is my third pair.

Disappointed

Out of the box and for the first wear the shoes were good and comfortable—I really liked them. Unfortunately, I got them wet and they changed. My first time wearing I jumped into the river to cool off while morel hunting. Afterward, I dried them in the sun. Next time wearing they were much stiffer, the toe box had lost contour/volume, and the seam above the heel puckered in one shoe. All that tallied up to make a shoe that’s very uncomfortable. Worn them a couple times for around the house type things and they’re barely bearable. If I’d known they weren’t meant to be submerged and air dried I’d have taken them off—or at least got a mock foot to insert while drying to keep their form. Really disappointed.

great shoe w/ great look but tight in mid-section

This is a great shoe, function, look, and everything. I bought a SENSE RIDE 5 GORE-TEX and AERO BLAZE 2 at the same time both 8.5 UK size. I found that the SENSE RIDE 5 GORE-TEX is not true to the size, while my feet are totally free and comfortable in the AERO BLAZE 2, the mid section of the SENSE RIDE 5 GORE-TEX is tight no matter how loose you leave the laces. So you might order a 0.5 size bigger than your usual size.

Totally happy with this shoe.

I have used this shoe daily for a month and it has been really comfortable and supportive for my sensitive feet. Build quality is very good.
