    Loving these shoes!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. High quality, attractive color, very comfortable, lightweight, versatile. I use these for hiking, approaches to the crag, spin class, or just taking my pup on walks. I would definitely spend my money on these. Just note that their sizing runs pretty large. I'm normally an 8 and the 7.5 fit me if I wear medium-thick socks. They also run a little bit wide.

    Loving these shoes!

    Lovin' these!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These are my first pair of hiking shoes ever!! I went up to Twin Lakes with some girls from work. The traction is great and very reliable. I am a big trail runner and I use these not only for hiking, but for trail runs.
This shoe is super light weight and doesn't need to be broken in. They are such pretty color and great quality!

One thing I would recommend- I did a full size down in these shoes. Salomon typically run al little bigger. I normally wear a 6.5 in almost every shoe. For the Outlines, I got a 5.5 and they fit like a glove!

    Well look at these...

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Typically, I have my hiking boots/shoes and then I have all the other shoes I feel comfortable wearing out in public. BUT LO AND BEHOLD! Salomon has solved all my shoe fashion and function needs... in the Outline. With gorgeous hues of blues and teals that are attractive but not overwhelming, this light weight but beautifully performing shoe is now my go to on a days when I need to do all my adventuring and my adulting. The amount of support and traction this shoe provides without weighing down my feet really gets me excited to take this shoe on a more strenuous summit hike once I break it in a bit. I'm so glad I've come across this shoe during my adjustment to the dry, Utah terrain.

    Well look at these...

    So comfy! And great traction.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've worn these twice now and my initial impressions are YAS. I love the traction on these. The grip makes me feel stable. The insole fits my tall arch well and supported. I have a narrow foot but for a longer hike I like having a wider toe box to spread out in. These have the perfect amount of space for my toes to breath on long hikes. I can't speak to the goretex because i have the non-GTX pair. But I CAN say that the great fit and comfort of these shoes makes them one of my top recommends.

    First time wearing them...

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

and I was able to break them in so nicely. I swear by these now. I've got a three year old pair of hiking shoes that hurt my feet even though they are "broken in" but wearing these just once for over 11 miles felt SUPER comfortable.

I am typically a size 7.5 or 8 and I went with the 7.5's. It was a bit tight because my foot is wide but eventually after an hour or two in them they formed to my feet.

The grip on the shoes helped me scramble through all these rocks! I love them so much. Nice work Salomon!

The One Shoe You Need For A Weekend Trip

If you have to bring one shoe on a weekend trip where you'll be hiking and hitting the town, this is the shoe for you. As a Salomon employee, I was looking forward to trying out this shoe and was excited when they came in right before a weekend trip to the Tetons. Putting 25 miles in over two days, I had no issues. They're lightweight, breathable, and perfect for wearing straight from the trail to dinner in Jackson.

      I'd recommend going down a 1/2 size, i'm normally a 7.5 and wear a 7 in these.

      Amazing!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I’m a fan of Salomon hiking shoes, have had a great experience with them and these were no different! They’re very comfy, fell in love with them even more on the way downhill; they had great traction, and my foot stayed snug inside and didn’t move around! Plus, I really enjoy the colors, great to continue to wear even after taking them on a hike!

      Amazing!

      Really Comfortable

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have a history of having a hard time finding the right hiking shoe. These fit perfect and are comfortable. No blisters so far! The toe box seems to be a little wider so your toes can spread out. The support under the arch is spot on. I typically don't like arch support, but it's comfortable on these shoes. I've been wearing them hiking, to the gym and running. I love them! They seem to run a little big. I can wear a size 6.5 or 7 and got the 6.5. They fit well but are a little roomy.
