Perfect for any use
Bought a while ago, I rarely leave the house without them. So far they’re working great for the few slights hikes I’ve been on (nothing over 5 miles or 2-3 hours) and take them every day for my healthcare job on my feet all day. Just going to hope they last with the amount of use they’re getting!

Comfortable but deceiving color
The boot is comfortable and the lacing system is nice. The color isn’t what I thought I was getting. Black, black, magnet. I assumed this meant all black and the picture looks all black to my eye. It is not. Most Leos are required to wear all black boots and it’s becoming more difficult to find a pair of hiking boots to fit the bill. Disappointed I need to take a sharpie to such an expensive boot.

Very comfortable
Love the shoes. Fit great and are comfy! I Also love the no lace part, I do find the water proofing doesn't last very long though

Great Features
I bought these hiking boots 3 weeks ago and put them to the test on a recent trip to Snowdonia. In no particular order, these boots were: comfortable, grippy, supportive with decent ankle support + waterproofing. Only improvement point would be in the sole; I prefer an Ortholite sole with more support in the foot arch and curvature around the heel

Decent Form, Lacking in Function
Bought these a month ago looking for a lightweight, water repellent shoe for New York City rain days and while the shoe looks great it does not perform as advertised. The very first day I wore them, it rained, my socks were wet. I think these will be my last pair of Salomons as they continue to disappoint. Also, the BOA lace does not stay secured and loosens easily just from walking (haven’t tried running in them yet). I have the Black XA Alpine 2 Advance.

Great design!
Great shoes. Great design. I love the innovative shoe laces. Just pull and tug under the little pocket under the tongue and done with tighten up the shoe laces. So easy and simple. Love it.

Best waKing boots
This is my second pair of Cross Hike boots. It’s like walking in a favourite pair of bedroom slippers. Best walking boots I’ve ever had.

Falling apart after a couple of hikes
After about 5 short hikes of 2-6 miles the glue is failing and the rubber is pulling away. Also this model just doesn’t hold your foot in place on slopes and hills. I love the ultra models, but these are not quality boots.

Well designed boot that fits well
I found a used pair of these a couple years ago. The size was just 1/2 too small but I knew after wearing it that it was going to accommodate my bunions well so I purchased a pair new. They have been fantastic throughout the past fall and winter seasons. So well that I'm going to get a second pair. The laces are a great feature: Very quick on and off. No additional insole needed with the bed being comfortable on pavement or trails.
