Took a chance and very impressed
I live in the Adirondack Mountains and my job requires me to be walking outside all day in any weather condition. My last pair of hiking shoes didn’t hold up that well last year so figured I’d try something new and bought a pair of these. I’ve had them for about 5 months now and I’m thoroughly impressed with them. They’ve held up really strong compared to other hiking shoes where they lost their waterproofing, stretched out too much, ripped, etc., but not these! They’re light, breathable, sturdy, and comfortable. I didn’t go up half a size when I bought them so I was a little nervous about how tight they’d be from what reviews said and how they felt when I first wore them, but after breaking them in they fit perfectly. Compared to other brands they are a snug fit, however that’s the point of good hiking shoes. You don’t want too much room for your feet to be wiggling and sliding in. Honestly, I feel a little guilty just using them for work because of how nice they are for mountainous terrain, I mean the treads on them literally look like cleats. I don’t think I’ll need to buy another set of hiking shoes any time soon while I have these since they show no signs of getting worn out!

The laces on one shoe are way longer than the other. Other than that they are pretty awesome.

Can't go wrong with Salewa!
I walk anywhere from 2-20+ miles a day across varying terrains. . I have probably put around 200-300 miles on these since I've had them and they still look brand new! Grip is solid wet or dry. Super comfortable even after prolonged hours. Fit is great and true to size. Have absolutely zero negatives on this product so far!

All hat and no cowboy
I bought these two months ago and the sole is already wearing down, as well as the (mesh?) siding is tearing. I wore these shoes for everyday wear and some light hiking for the first two months and haven’t worn them since given the wear. They look good but not sure they would hold up as every day hikers.

The Best So Far
After Salomon was bought out by a Chinese owned firm, I sought out to find a good replacement for hiking shoes and these exceed the qualify and comfort of the Solomon's!

Solid not Perfect
I honestly don't love them. I find it to be quite heavy for a "speed hiking" shoe and bit more stiff then I would like; And hot... so very hot. The Ultra Flex 2 MID were amazing and the benchmark I held these up to. The quality and build are solid however. In about 2 weeks: 65 miles and +10k vert in Washington and California.
