Great shoes!! Have had many pairs and loved them.
Lots of good miles over mixed terrain with these.

The 2-3 day shipping ended up being well over a week and I ended up leaving for Oregon without them.

I haven't had much of an opportunity to hike in them yet, but the fit out of the box was surprisingly good. I have funky feet and the tow box was wide enough to accommodate my feet.

Shoe buster
Nice shoes. I bought these because they’re leather and because they have a vibram sole which is hard to find in small shoes sometimes. They’re comfortable and so far I would recommend them to others

I was looking for a rugged hiking shoe when I didn't want to use boots. This fit the bill perfectly for the most part. But, they felt a bit wide so I unded up returning them. I'm getting a different pair that I've been told are a bit narrower.

No drama
These are my fifth pair of Salewas that I have purchased. Their size and fit are consistent to all of the other pairs that I’ve bought so there’s no drama when I receive them. They are great on the trail and are fashionable to use as everyday wear if you desire. I love the lacing system on these. During the day my feet tend to swell somewhat but with a little adjustment to the laces the fit is perfect again.

Wanted something lighter for travel than my Salewa Mountain Trainer Lite Mid GTX boots (which are also great) but with more support than my Scarpa Neutron 2 Trail Runners. These fit the bill without question. No break-in time required, fantastic support, and incredibly comfortable. They look great too. The Salewa lacing always ensures good fit. I have a feeling I might be wearing these more than the other two moving forward.

I have been searching for a lower cut hiking shoe that will work in warmer temps but was three season. I wear orthotics so that was a requirement on fit. Also wanted a longer lasting high traction outsole, and this checked all the boxes. Fantastic fit out of the box, those who say very short break in period were spot on. Downsides were limited, they are a little on the heavy side, but with a leather upper that’s not a dealbreaker. They are a little warmer than expected, will wait to see how they vent in Arizona summers. I wear a 14 in running shoes, these are about the same.

Almost perfect
First off I will say that I absolutely love Salewa! They are some of the best hiking shoes money can buy. I've worn them on thru-hikes in the past and put over 2000 miles on them and they were still holding up well. So far I am enjoying the Alp Trainer 2 and would love to give them 5 stars but they are much more narrow than the old models and seem to have more toe drop. If Salewa offered this shoe in a wide with a more flat sole then they would absolutely get 5 stars and I would buy 5 pairs.

Love them!
I am new to the world of Salewa’s, holy smokes I love these. Use the high tops for work and daily they impress me, the low tops are just as good! I would highly recommend getting a pair of these. The low tops are very comfortable and one of the first pair of shoes/boots that I did not have to put insoles in. No real break in time, they are pretty comfortable out of the box. The only odd thing was one of the toe boxes made a popping noise (hard to explain) but after a little wear it’s gone.
