Grip Trex Pair

Paw injuries can be a real bummer, so protect your pup's pawdy-paws with the Ruffwear Grip Trex Pairs. Ideal for tackling varied terrain, the Grip Trex features a rugged and versatile construction that assures adaptive performance, comparable to your go-to hiking boots or trail running shoes. And much like your boots, the Grip Trex is equipped with a Vibram sole to maintain traction and protection from errant obstacles. Just don't forget to periodically check the fit of your dog's Grip Trex throughout your adventure, otherwise your pup might injure themselves or lose a shoe. Additionally, it is strongly recommended that you measure your dog's feet before purchasing a pair of shoes—a size too large will fly off their paws, while a size too small can cause discomfort. It's important to note that only two boots are sold in this set.

  • A protective bootie for your dog
  • Mesh upper offers ample ventilation
  • Hook-and-loop closure keeps boot secure on foot
  • Vibram outsole maintains traction
  • Sold as a pair (2 boots)
  • Item #RUF003B

Thank god for these

My little 20 pound poodle mix loves to run alongside us when we bike ride. He would rip up his paw pads pretty bad. These paired with the socks have been a life saver. You have to make them pretty tight if your dog is running so they don’t fall off and initially he did get a few blisters, but this was such a big improvement from his whole paw pads ripping off. A little pricey but seems worth it so far!

A Must For Utah Terrain

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I originally bought the set of 4 in size small for my 60lb lab mix but the back paws were too big. I then purchased 2 pairs one in size small and one in size extra small and I am very happy! We went on a moderate 5 mile hike for the first time and I was beyond impressed. I only had to adjust them once and there was minimal rubbing and she was finally able to walk more then 3 miles pain free! I highly recommend especially for our lab friends who don't have the tough pads like other breeds.

Pretty Great

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

These are awesome for desert adventures. I initially ordered 4 of the same size...but her back paws are smaller so I went with the different sized pairs instead. The only complaint is I wish there was some kind of sleeve like the polar shoes to help these stay on my wild thing better.

How do you pick the right size? On the Ruffwear website they are by inches not sizes like S, XS, M, etc.

Hi Kathleen, The size chart is right above where you select the size/style in the drop down menu. It is in inches as well. 4XS Paw Width: 1.5in (38mm) 3XS 1.75in (44mm) XXS 2in (51mm) XS 2.25in (57mm) S 2.5in (64mm) M 2.75in (70mm) L 3in (76mm) XL 3.25in (83mm) I just emailed you as well so feel free to respond to that if you have any more questions!
