I recently bought this coat a couple of weeks ago and have worn it probably 7-8 times at my local ski mountain in a huge variety of conditions. I live in the PNW so the conditions can vary greatly from day to day, and they often turn on a dime in the course of an hour. Mt. Bachelor, my home mountain, is known for it's formidable high winds and wet, heavy snow. I loved this jacket from the moment I saw it but was skeptical of it's ability to perform in any type of adverse conditions. I thought it would hold up as a park jacket on a spring day, but I'm elated to report I've been wearing it in storm conditions and even wore it up to the Summit yesterday with gusts so strong it was literally pushing me fast across the snow while standing still. 40mph? This coat was blocking the wind amazingly and keeps me warm and dry on days in the 20's with just a wool base layer underneath. After owning tons of different technical jackets over the years, I think it's true that the Thinsulate insulation is some of the best, warmest for it's low bulk. It allows the coat to be really warm without making me look huge. As a tall woman with a long waist, I've always struggled to find coats that are long enough and don't immediately come up to my ribs when lifting my arms. The fabric has a supple, silky feel to it, not cheap and rough like I was worried it might for the price and the brand. I think Roxy has stepped their quality game in the last few years, because I recall 10 years ago shopping in Zumiez and feeling a couple of their early generation outerwear and being pretty unimpressed with it. I think this coat is competitive with much more expensive brands like AirBlaster and FlyLow, and surpasses a lot of what I already own. I got this coat in the green color, and the fabric texture and print is rich and beautiful. The leaf/flower camo on the arms is gorgeous and shaded (not cheap and silly looking) and the body of the coat has a slight heathering to it, which gives it more depth. The attached powder skirt is a nice feature, and is generous and stretchy for someone with more curves (I wear a size 10 pants). A lot of the powder skirts I've had are ultra tight, ride up, and feel like a giant tourniquet is squeezing you. This one is great! Zippers all glide smoothly. Arms are nice and long, with comfortable wrist gaiters that help to hold in a lot of extra heat. Jacket is light weight for it's warmth. I feel I can move around easily in this coat--I guess that's more of a personal thing unique to each person and depends on body proportions, but I have pretty broad shoulders and don't feel restricted at all. I am so happy to have found a coat that I love for a reasonable price. The local gear shops in my town carry a lot of higher end brands with coats in the $200s-high $300s and I feel this one is every bit as good and super cute! I also like that it's not just a scaled down version of a men's coat. Excellent tailoring and thoughtfully designed. I want one in every color!

I wear this jacket snowboarding. Itis the most perfect jacket, warm and incredibly stylish. I would reccommend purchasing it again. For sizing, I am 5'6 115 pounds and a size small is a great fit.

stylish and comfortable

I've used it several times

I bought this coat as a gift and it has been used in fairly light easy everyday conditions, nothing extreme. Although it hasn't been used in harsh conditions it is a very warm jacket and she has loved it particularly the look and fit.

is the egret/love letter blue or black? thanks!

Hi Anna, The Egret/Love is Black. I hope this helps.
