I love these camo shorts. They are comfortable, just the right length, and lightweight for summertime. Just wash on gentle and air dry them. Only complaint is I’m in between a 34 and 36 waist so I have to cinch them tight in order to keep them on. Going to order a black pair in a 34 and hope they fit better.

I really love Roark and I figured I could justify buying something expensive if it was high quality, so I took leap of faith and my trust backfired. I really wanted to give a 5-Star at first but I waited after a couple months just to see how they would hold up. They fit great, are comfy, and look nice. I loved the first pair so much I bought a second pair in-store. That?s when the rubber cap on the drawstring just fell off as I was tying the drawstrings (LOOSELY mind you)- and I had to glue it back on. I literally have just worn them at home and casual outings so I?m not putting them through hell or anything remotely crazy. Strike one. I noticed that the matte coating on the metal rings around the drawstrings began to wear off in a way that appears very cheap. It doesn?t look great and it totally robs one of the finer details of the craftsmanship. Strike two. I eventually saw on the Roark website (after being updated last week) that I apparently needed to hand wash them? I saw no tag on it that emphasized this key piece of info besides the one on the waistband that says, ?Machine wash cold.?° Even still, I always hang them to dry and do gentle wash with cold water for all my clothes always for this reason as a precaution, so I?m being EXTRA careful! Rectifying any previous potential errors, I decided to let them soak in some water with gentle detergent for a couple hours- that?°s when I noticed that the dye on the shorts BLED OFF INTO THE WATER. Strike three. I thought these shorts could at least handle a few cold gentle washes and sitting at home all day. These were the first shorts I have purchased from Roark (because shirts are all I?ve bought up until this point), but these have definitely made me want to avoid getting more shorts in the future. I have no idea if mine were just defective or what.
