Pretty much works...
A bit of a design flaw IMO in that the skis need to be in the middle of the rack for the latch to hold. If you have to press down hard to close it (we had nordic skis so thicker than downhill skis) it's a pain in the butt to close and get latched so it could be locked. We had to keep moving the skis around to to find the sweet spot to get it so it would latch. A slightly different design would have made this not an issue.

Get a Thule
Weird locking mechanism. Hard to close when you have 3 or more boards. Cannot fit 4 male boards. You need to buy risers.i would not recommend. I bought a Thule instead
