Poor QC
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- 10.5
- Height:

Let me start by saying I have 7 pair of red wing boots, 2 of which are Chelsea boots. All of them fit perfectly in a size 10.5. All of the fit the same as each other. These look nice, and the left one fits perfectly. The right one is quite loose. The opening to the boot is larger than the left and the upper seems to have more space/extra material. I won't be keeping them and I'm frustrated that buying $300 boots creates so much work for me just to still not have a pair of boots to wear to work.

Not as well built as Grant Stones, but still good
No significant flaws in the construction. The inner lining is purely synthetic, so be aware of that. The insole appears to be a few layers of foam and leather stuck to the midsole instead of stitched. The shoe is comfortable overall. It isn’t as considered and well constructed as Grant Stones, which I have a few of as well. Oh well, it’s still better than most footwear these days

Unsatisfied Not what I expected
This was my 12th pair of Redwing boots and I wanted to love them. Unfortunately I cannot. I tried to wait until I could give an honest review and after 10 months I’m ready to give it. First I can’t stand the foam insole. I’ve grown to truly love heritage boots because of the leather insole. These have a foam insole. My left boot has wrinkled and is uncomfortable. The right remains smooth. The foam gives off an odor. After several hours the boots causes my foot to sweat this is only pair of redwings where this occurs. The leather stitching on the upper seam is starting to fail as well. The elastic has held up well. I’m hard on my boots and I wear these boots as a professional fire fighter for uniform wear. The. Real in period was easy though so that was a positive. So sorry redwing. I just don’t feel the foam insert was a smart move. I have buyers remorse !

Two bad boots
I don't abuse boots and I love my Red Wing work boots but these boots are disappointing. The elastic frayed/snapped like the boots in other reviews and there is something wrong with the toe on the right boot. There's a lump on roughout near the tip. It's almost like it's coming undone. They feel like two different sized boots. I was looking forward to wearing these for many years but now they're more of a curse. Long-lasting weird boots.

Too small and tight
I recently bought these online and they are so tight. I have the Black Prarie and the Amber Harness. But these are different. I will return them for the same pair and size. Whoever made these made them too small.

Sturdy and Comfy
Bought them a week ago now. I sized down 1.5 sizes from my chuck taylor size, 2 sizes down from vans, and half a size down from my moc toe redwings. They were tight on the sides but I do have wide feet. They are slowly becoming my most comfortable boot that I own. I wear these pretty much every day for work

Unique Chelsea
I don’t typically like the Chelsea style, but these in black with the wedge sole hit different. They look very modern and straddle the line between work and dress boot perfectly. Amazing quality for the price. My first pair of redwings, impressive quality. I wear a 13 in most sneakers, size 12 on these fit me perfectly.

A Must Have
I own the Amber Harness and Black Prairie. These boots are so very comfortable that you can wear them All Day. You may notice your other boots being neglected. They are a Half Size big like the Iron Rangers. The only hard thing is deciding which color to get.

12.5 not available
These are beautiful, well-built shoes, but I had to return them as 12 are too small, and 13 are too large. Sadly no 12.5 size offered. Mocs I can do 13 and Iron Rangers 12, but couldn’t size correctly in Chelsea.
