For those who appreciate the old ways.

You may be a chukka on the basketball court, but you certainly aren't going to be lacking any style on the street when you wear the Red Wing Heritage Men's Chukka Boot. Basketball has never really been your thing, anyways, which is why you'd rather wear a pair of classic looking leather boots than a pair of hokey looking sneakers. All jokes aside, the Chukkas really are a solid pair of boots that were originally made for men who worked indoors on heavy machinery and assembly lines. Their rugged leather upper will only ripen over time and is supported by triple-stitched seams for better longevity. Their softer Atlas tread sole was originally designed for work that required a lot of bending and lifting, but will suit today's more casual boot wearers style.

Made in the Land of Wheat and Maize

Justin Vernon has an enduring connection to his hometown of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. It's the place this Grammy award winning musician was given his first guitar by his father. Eau Claire is also the place where Justin gained his appreciation for things that are made to last.

    I'm finally an adult

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 11.5

    My gear game? On point.
    My fashion game? Needs help.

These boots were the boost I needed to finally feel like an adult. They can be dressed down, dressed up, and they always look good. I've had them for about a month and get compliments each time I wear them. I was worried that my feet wouldn't like standing in these for a full day, but no complaints so far.

I picked up the Oro-Iginal color and the leather really is beautiful. I mean I love how this boot looks. I've put a few scuffs on them but I also have some Red Wing care products that I'll use to touch up these boots.

Craftsmanship is top notch. Yes there are less expensive boots out there but for the level of quality you get, these boots are a great value.

For sizing, I am an 11.5/12 with a wide forefoot and have found the 11.5 to be a good fit for me.

    Beautifully made boot

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I purchased a pair of these for my fiancee who is extremely abusive to his shoes. You don't have to look at them very long to realize they are very solidly constructed. Nice thick leather and big beefy stitching. This is the kind of shoe you thought they didn't make anymore. For all that, they are stylish enough to wear on a fancy night out, even with a suit. My only concern is that he doesn't seem to be wearing anything else anymore.

    Simply awesome boots

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large

When I saw these chukkas in briar oil slick, it was love at first sight! The color, the contrast stitching, and the crepe sole were very easy on my eyes. What I did not realize until I tried them on was the top notch quality of how they were constructed - this is high quality leather, materials, and craftsmanship, which go hand in hand with Red Wing shoes.

Size-wise I am normally a 12 or 12.5 and I have a custom orthotic footbed that I put inside my shoes. The perfect fit for me in this boot was the 11.5 - the 12 was too big. I got these shoes for the office as well as walking around town.

The shoes fit like a glove. Firm on the sides with room for my toes to wiggle. For the first week, I wore them around the house to break them in. I cannot express how comfortable they are! I would rank these as comfortable, if not more, than my favorite running shoes.

They break in with each wear and somehow get more and more comfortable. Some tips for first time buyers:
    - check the made on date on the tag inside the tongue of the boot. This will tell you when they were made.
    - Buy a shoe horn to simplify getting the shoes on and also preserve the heal of the boots
    - I personally prefer to wear thin merino wool socks with these boots, not thick socks
    - I can pull off wearing these boots in a nice suit or a pair of sweats

After this purchase, I'm now sold and mildly obsessed with Red Wing boots. Next purchase is a pair of Red Wing Heritage 6
