Why We Like The Rab Vapour-Rise Summit Jacket - Women's

On long alpine approaches, we depend on the Rab Vapour-Rise Summit Jacket to keep us cool on the push, dry under weeping rock, and warm through the belay. The fleecy lining wicks away sweat as we move and traps warm air when we’re standing still, while the treated exterior sheds ice crumbles and spindrift. As we climb, the raglan sleeves and underarm panels give our shoulders full range. When we bring up our second, the two-way front zip gives us easy access to our belay loop, and the adjustable cuffs cinch tight to ensure they don’t get caught up in our device.

  • Versatile softshell jacket for sending rock and ice or chasing powder turns

Love it! It does a funny things where it twist round while I wear it, but maybe I need to work out what works underneath so the fluffy inside doesnt catch and pull round

Bought this as a new

Bought this as a new go-to top layer jacket for those days out trekking when you're not sure if it'll stay dry in the UK. However, it is not insulated enough for winter (it really needs a hard shell over to do the job) and too insulated for summer. Why can't Rab create a women's equivallent of the VapourRise Guide Jacket which is far superior?

This is a versatile jacket

This is a versatile jacket - although lightweight it offers significant warmth depending on my choice of base layer. I enjoy its sensible cut and how it fits particularly around the arms and pits, nice deep pockets too. Great jacket.

The perfect winter layer, super lightweight and fantastic temperature regulation. Keeps you warm when you want to be and cool when you need to be. It packs so small and weighs so little it's not worth ever leaving it at home. The new green and yellow colourway is great too, my new go to!
