great bag hindered by baggy side pockets
needs some kind of side pocket cinching to stop stuff swinging around and falling out of side pockets

3 Day Hike Austrian Alps
I got the Muon 40 specifically for a 3 day hike in the Austrian Alps where it also needed to double as a carry on bag. After 3 days carrying 15-18KGs of essentials and photography equipment it surpassed expectations on every level. The durability isn’t compromised by the sub 900 grams weight, nor is the comfort. I’ve got no sores, chaffing or bruising from a challenging hike in weather from 34°C+ to a day of rain and fog (with a rain cover). The adjustments, supports and fit are spot on (I’m 6ft4in) Things I’d love to see changed: - The side pockets hold their contents well when worn, but like to let stuff out when you lay it down (back down) being able to tighten these with straps would make them perfect. - The chest strap setup gives loads of adjustment, if worn a bit tighter and with higher weights they can slip/loosen Aside from that Rab has made one incredible bag. I’ll hold off on a durability over time review.
