Rab built this jacket around 2.5-layer Pertex® Shield, a 40D ripstop construction with a 20,000mm hydrostatic head and 20,000g/m² breathability that balances protection and weight with the kind of precision that demanding mountain terrain requires. Fully articulated sleeves move with the body through scrambles and steep sections without pulling or restricting, and extended adjustable cuffs seal against gloves cleanly for a seamless interface at the wrist. The hood features a robust peak and high adjustability to handle mountain weather on fully exposed terrain, a YKK® AquaGuard® center front zip with chin guard keeps the closure comfortable and sealed, and underarm vents open up when the output climbs on long ascents. Dual-sided rear hem adjustment with single-handed operation keeps the fit dialed on the move, and two A-line pockets remain accessible under a harness or pack hipbelt so essentials stay within reach regardless of what the approach demands.
