The Ascent Sleeping Bag uses sidewall baffle construction and a wide mummy shape to give a side sleeper actual room to turn rather than just extra space overall. Internal cordlocks sit below the collarbone instead of at the neck, so the hood's drawcord doesn't dig in when the body rolls onto its side through the night. Rated to 32°F, the bag is built for summer camping and shoulder-season trips where deep cold isn't the concern.
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I sleep almost entirely on my side, and the Ascent Sleeping Bag is the first mummy bag where I haven't woken up fighting the hood cord against my neck. The sidewall baffles gave my shoulder somewhere to actually settle instead of pressing straight into the shell."
