Floodlight brightness that fits in your hand.
When you need a powerful car-camping lantern or a compact camp light for backpacking, pick up the Primus MicroLantern. This lightweight lantern mounts directly on a standard fuel canister, and features a durable metal mesh net instead of a glass globe. The piezo igniter makes for quick, hassle-free lighting, and an attached wire makes for easy hanging in camp. The efficient, adjustable (up to 70W) burner uses very little fuel and stays virtually silent, so you can play cards without sounding like there’s a jet engine in camp.

Rugged and Compact

This tiny lantern starts easily and give off plenty of light and heat which is useful for winter camping in an enclosure. Be careful if using in a tent, but it will keep a 2 person backpack tent warm. Be sure to leave vents open if using in a tent. The original mantle lasted two years and was replaced with a Coleman slip on #51 mantle. If the mantle develops a hole, hot gasses will jet out and impinge on the metal screen causing it to glow red and that will weaken the screen at that location over time. Change the mantle if that happens. It will also run on 1 lb propane cylinders if car camping if you get an adapter that screws onto the lantern. I would recommend getting the fold out base for the 1 lb propane cylinders to provide more stability for the assembly since it is now much taller than when using the smaller backpack fuel cells. No issues with the lantern so far and I bought a second one just in case, but the original is still working very well.
