Before they jump on a pedal bike, get your aspiring cyclist started out on the Prevelo Alpha Zero 12in Balance Bike to help them learn the basics with a smile. Made completely of aluminum alloy, the Alpha Zero is durable and lightweight, making it easy to teach kids to maintain their balance without pedals and learn to maneuver and turn without training wheels, which can slow balance progression.
Tektro rear V-brakes with small reach brake levers make it easy to stop when they pick up too much speed, and the front and rear hubs with low-profile rounded hex bolts won't hurt little legs should they happen to bump against them while learning. The seatpost is adjustable from 11-to-14.5-inches right out of the box, making it ideal for 18-month old kids and above, and burly Kenda tires provide smooth-rolling performance that can even go off road when your little one's feeling adventurous.
