    Cutting-edge protection with minimalist design.

Deceivingly simple, yet stuffed with the latest impact protection, the Pret Cynic X Helmet places MIPS technology into a cleanly styled, minimalist design. Standing for Multi-Direction Impact Protection System, MIPS uses an elastomeric liner that dissipates rotational forces resulting from angled crashes on the mountain. MIPS achieves this lofty feat by allowing the helmet to rotate independently around your noggin, subsequently reducing the rotational forces translated through the helmet.

The Cynic X's lightweight and low-profile design is courtesy of In-Mold construction, which fuses a rugged polycarbonate shell directly to the impact-absorbing foam inside. Besides being a relatively lightweight helmet, the Cynic X features a cozy liner of wool-blended fabric, which boasts high levels of warmth, as well as quick-drying and anti-odor properties. It's finished with an RCS fit system that fine-tunes the helmet's fit with the spin of its dial, audio-compatible earpads, and VTT1 ventilation ports for thermo-regulation.

    Great gear

Love this helmet, fits nicely with Oakley Airbrakes - had Giro before and found big and distracting - you forget you have the Pret ON. Super comfortable.

Fits my round pumpkinhead very well - if you have a more ovoid noggin, maybe try the Shaman.

    This is the one!!!

I wanted a low profile helmet with MIPS( It works, tested MIPS on a DH helmet) technology. I finally settle for this after owning giro and ride helmets previously. Both of those helmets were size large and i just felt they were a little to big, and the Med was to small. My circumference head is just under 23 Inches, i gamble and order the Medium orange. It is a precise fit which i did not mind and very low profile, with the BOA like mechanism it only take a small turn to have the helmet securely around my head.

Performance wise this thing is light, looks great, and is super comfortable. I was a little concern with the vents not closing, but that was put to rest after using this helmet in Vermont for 3 days in temps btw -14 and 12. I used it with a Dakine balaclava and Oakley crowbar goggles, excellent fit (no gap btw helmet and goggles). Great job Pret, and Kyle Livingston on backcountry sales for his incredible service!

    Amazing but sadly

It fits great... looks great... electric eg2 goggles fit seamlessly.... has the latest tech like mips and magnet clips.... I just wish the chinstrap angle was adjustable like the giro....

      Low Profile and sleek!

So I got this to replace an older Giro Combyn helment. I have a big head and usually wear a Large in Giro helmets. I have a size Large in this and comparing the two, MIPS really makes things super light. In addition to weight, it looks sleek and awesome! Very comfortable. Right away while wearing it, I noticed the wieght. I have a Dragon NFX goggle and a Oakley Canopy goggle and the fit is seamless! No gaper issues at all, compared to my Giro, I had a little bit and the fits weren't always the best. So far, I am stoked! So for sizing, I hear a hat size of 7-5/8 or a 60cm helmet size and wear a Large in this helmet. The goggle strap is way awesome too!
