Exactly what I was looking for

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I love the Avril. The mid rise fits like a mid rise. The 31" inseam fits my 31" leg perfectly--not dragging on the floor and no high-water. The hips are fitted, yet comfortable. I bought a S based on the Prana size chart (i.e. size 6). I knew I'd be on the snugger end of the relaxed fit, but the fit is exactly how I like it--fitted in the hip, but not crushing in the crotch. I measured my waist where the top of the pant waist sits (34")--about 1-1.5" below my belly button. (I'm a bit long-waisted, but everything else on me is utterly average.) My hip at the fullest part of my butt is 38". The pants also have some give. I definitely would not go down to a XS. And if I wanted them to be more relaxed in the hip, I think it would work out fine to go up to an M. I left almost exactly the same review for the Halle. Both pants fit the same. The Avril has just a bit more room. The Avril is just a bit more comfortable due to the soft, stretchy waistband, but I'm very happy with both pairs of pants.

Wouldnt have bought a different pair of

I was wanting to try Prana gear and decided to buy these and another pair of hiking pants. I absolutely love these
for lounging around on any night, by a campfire on cooler nights or running errands. They did seem to run a little big, I ordered a small but returned it for an XS and haven't looked back. The material is kind of a cotton and canvas with a nice but not too heavy kind of weight to them. I am 5' 6 ", athletic build, 130lbs, a long torso and these pants actually are great for a low rise hip fit! The singe at the bottom of the pants are also nice for when trekking through a little water or whatever comes to hand. Last thing is: pockets are awesome perfect length for stuffing items and phones in them

    Perfect for climbing

Got these as an emergency order for a climbing trip after my favorite climbing pants gave up the ghost. They're super comfortable, very flattering, and great for moving around in. They're just the right rise, too. I'm short, so I struggle to find pants that don't sit at my belly button even when they say 'low rise'. These are great, being somewhere between low and mid rise - work well with a harness without showing your skivvies and without being high rise. My only complaint is that these don't come in different lengths. I would have ordered a short if I could. I'll have to roll the bottoms or use the cinch to keep these from dragging. Still, I regret not buying a pair of these sooner - back when they first came out and they had the sweet embroidered back pockets. These have a cute pocket detail too, it's just much more subdued.

Dear Prana, make these in different lengths and add more colors!!! :)

    If you have long legs...

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 130lbs

I had to hem mine up about 6" and I'm an evenly proportioned 5'4" 130 pounds and have these in a medium. I would have to say true to size but long. They're really cute and super comfortable. Get some.

Durable, comfortable, great design, trusted brand. I've worn them camping, climbing, out with friends and could wear them to bed. I also keep getting compliments on them. I bought one size smaller than I usually do and they fit perfectly.

    Best climbing pants ever!

    Better Than Sweats

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: xs
    • Height: 5'3"

Amazingly comfortable and useful pants! I wear these bad boys climbing, camping, at work (cause Boulder), and my honey likes them so much that I wear them for date night as well.
The articulated knee and relaxed fit are perfect for climbing but I could understand why people might think they run big. In my opinion, any tighter and you might as well wear jeans climbing.
I have yet to use the chalk brush loop for an actual brush but it is good for keys!
Since I am 5'3 and have a 30ish inch inseam the cinch cord around the bottom of the leg is great to keep my pants above my climbing shoes.
Bottom line, if you are active, like comfort and value a company that works to be as sustainable as possible, these pants are right up your alley.
    Happy climbing!

    freaking great

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought these pants to wear to work... they're casual but better than what I usually wear. I agree that they run long, but the elastic at the bottom cinches them in nicely and they don't look bad like that. The elastic waistband is super comfy and the addition of the draw string keeps them from creeping somewhere.... crack tastic. I can definitely imagine climbing in these, but they also work for a day teaching.

    Awesome

These pants are really cool and I love pants with an ankle cinch. The material is like a medium weight- a bit of a starchy structure. Very comfortable.

But be warned: THEY RUN REALLY BIG. I think Prana in general runs large, but these are extra large. I am 5'5 and 130lbs with an athletic build. I have a thicker bottom half, so I usually wear a medium, but can even prefer a large in some brands (like Target juniors for instance). I wear a size 4 in the Prana Halle pants. I got a size small in these, and I really think I could've been happy with the XS.

Downsize and you will love them!
