VPD Air Sleeve
Some days we on our full-face helmets, body armor, and dual-crowns to lap the bike park and boost gap jumps, but other days we prefer hitting the trail, pedaling our way up punchy switchbacks, and earning our descents. That doesn't mean we don't want a little body armor, but the DH-grade pads are a bit of overkill, so when we're heading out for trail days that send us charging both up and down the mountain there are the POC VPD Air Sleeves. These lightweight sleeves give you just enough protection for some peace of mind when you're cooking it into loose berms, but without compromising on breathability, so you can stay comfortable while you hammer up long fire roads to the top of the ridgeline.
The VPD Air Sleeves are light and airy, with reinforced fabric at the outer elbow, and a snug, compressive fit that secures into place without putting too much pressure on the cuff. They utilize a ventilated fabric on the inside of the arm to let sweat escape, and perforation throughout to help you stay comfortable. A silicone strip at both the top and bottom of the pad help it stay locked into place, and the pre-shaped construction ensures you'll have free range of motion while you book it into the technical sections.

Fits well, works in desert heat, durable
- I've put it through the wringer
If you are in between sizes, definitely size up, maybe even if you are close. I first ordered small because I did not want them to slip down, but those were too tight, medium fit perfectly and they do not slip at all in my experience. I ride in the high 80s and low 90s here in the desert and they are not too hot, and I get hot. I had a huge fall that severely sprained my rotator cuff requiring two months of PT, and even though my elbow still got scraped up pretty badly, no broken elbow, and the sleeve is still in great condition, no damage to it! Make sure you take them off carefully by the padded section as much as possible to not stretch the mesh area. Other than that, these are great protection for a wide variety of riding and provide sun protection to boot!

Nice light pad setup
- I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Size Bought:
- 5' 7"
Overall, I’m really happy with the design and feel. This pair I bought for my wife. The only reason for the 4/5 stars is because I had to return the same pair I purchased for myself for a Medium. I compared measurements to the size guide but I would suggest to size up if you are in any way concerned. It seems to me the measurements given and the max measurements and not those I would consider comfortable.
