Ventral Tempus Mips Helmet

MIPS, or Multi-directional Impact Protection System, is a safety technology designed to reduce rotational forces during an impact. It features a low-friction layer inside the helmet that allows the outer shell to move slightly upon impact. This movement helps absorb and redirect energy away from the brain, significantly lowering the risk of certain head injuries. Choosing a helmet with MIPS can provide an extra layer of protection for cyclists.

The EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) liner is a crucial component of helmet safety. This lightweight foam material is designed to crush upon impact, which helps absorb the force and reduce the impact transmitted to your head during a crash. Helmets with EPS liners are essential for effective impact protection, making them a smart choice for anyone serious about safety while cycling.

A unibody PC shell means the helmet's outer shell is made from a single piece of polycarbonate material. This design enhances the helmet's strength and durability, providing a smooth surface that can better withstand impacts and harsh weather conditions. Helmets with a unibody design are often more resilient and can offer better protection over time.

A well-designed ventilation system allows air to flow through the helmet, helping to keep the rider cool and comfortable during physical activity. Good ventilation is especially important for cyclists, as it helps manage heat and moisture, reducing sweat buildup. This feature can enhance your overall riding experience, making it more enjoyable and less distracting.

The 22° trailing edge refers to the angle of the back edge of the helmet, which is specifically designed to minimize aerodynamic drag and turbulence while riding. This design feature can improve performance and stability, allowing cyclists to maintain speed and efficiency. If you're looking to enhance your cycling experience, a helmet with a well-designed trailing edge can make a noticeable difference.

The combination of MIPS technology, EPS liners, unibody PC shells, effective ventilation systems, and aerodynamic designs like the 22° trailing edge all work together to enhance helmet performance. These features not only improve safety but also provide comfort and efficiency, making them essential considerations for anyone looking to invest in a high-quality cycling helmet.
