A full-featured harness for your little rock hound.
Put your kid in the Petzl Kids' Macchu Harness to ensure that he or she stays secure and comfortable while they learn the simple joys of finishing a route. Modeled after Petzl's adult harnesses, the Macchu utilizes Endoframe construction to distribute weight evenly for optimal comfort. Two Doubleback buckles at the waist allow the tie down point to be perfectly centered, while the colored connection point makes for a quick visual check by the belayer. For added security, pair the Macchu with the Petzl Body chest harness to prevent your little one from going inverted.

The Perfect Kids Harness
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Over the past several years I've taken my two daughters (5 & 7 yrs) climbing and canyoneering and have tried to find the perfect harness to transition them from full body harnesses to a normal waist one. We struggled with two other brands and just weren't happy with how they cinched or sat on their small frames. Then we found this and it has a relatively large waist size range (they're both skinny) and the leg loops can go skinny as well. It's been the perfect harness to transition them and both they and I feel confident that they are safe in case they go inverted or have a fall.
If you're looking for a kids harness, honestly, don't waste time or money and just go with this one.

Love this harness!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I purchased this harness for my niece who is 7. It fits her perfectly and she loves the color. I contemplated getting the chest harness as well but at her age I think that can be skipped. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to save on rental fees when they take little people climbing.
