What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"The Adjama is my harness of choice for trad days and alpine missions. It’s comfortable for long routes, has more than enough gear space, and adjusts easily over layers. The leg loops stay put and the wide waistbelt spreads weight evenly when I’m hanging out at a belay."
From granite walls to alpine ridgelines, the Petzl Adjama Harness is built for climbers who need versatility and all-day comfort. Designed for trad, multi-pitch, and mountaineering, it features a wide, contoured waistbelt and adjustable leg loops that adapt easily to layering systems or shifting temps.
The EndoFrame construction distributes pressure evenly, while five gear loops and integrated ice clipper slots offer plenty of racking space for cams, screws, and draws. Durable materials and reinforced tie-in points add confidence when we’re moving over stone, snow, or ice. Whether we’re placing gear or building anchors, the Adjama is ready for every pitch.

Was hesitant to replace my previous generation Adjama since they changed the sizing, but I'm very happy with this new version. Fits great, is comfortable, and has ample gear loops.

Great Harness

I bought this harness about eight months ago and I'm super happy with it. Super comfortable, plenty of big gear loops, easy to adjust, and looks really cool. Unfortunately I got a size too large, and didn't realize until I really started using it and breaking it in. I bought a size just small enough to fit new, but after belaying, taking whips, and hanging in it for a few months, it stretched just enough for me to have to decide to buy a new harness. I still wear it if I have enough layers on and it works well enough to keep me safe, there's a just a little too much room in waist sometimes. I still highly recommend the harness to anyone looking for something that you won't have to upgrade in a long time.

I've had mine for a year and I find it very comfortable for belaying and hanging. I haven't taken any big whippers with it, but I don't see any reason it'd stop working well. I belayed in it up to 5 hours a day for days this winter, and it never rode up or dug into my back. After a while I forgot I had it on. Sizing chart seems on-the-mark. I only wish the leg loops would tighten up another inch or so. I never use the 5th gear loop because I don't do trad, but it might work nicely for a water bottle?
