New, go-to travel bag

Backed this product on Kickstarter and have now taken it on several trips. It has become my new favorite travel bag. It holds a surprising amount and keeps nicely secured. Comfortable fit on my shoulders, even when weighted inside. Quick access shoulder pouches have been an great addition to my travel routine, excellent place to quickly stash/access my phone or wallet while going through the airport and security. Multiple tie down points around the bag give me the chance to increase storage if needed. No visible signs of wear after several multiday trips thus far. Another hit product from PD in my eyes.

Possibly the Worst Backpack I've Ever Owned

This backpack is the worst one I have ever owned. The shoulder straps are too wide and don't sit comfortably. The back panel, after only a few months of use, has bent leaving a sharp line across the lower back making it extremely uncomfortable (unless there is a laptop in the bag acting as support for the back). The side pockets are not easily accessible, making getting a water bottle in and out very difficult. The interior is like a vast black hole. There are not interior pockets aside from the laptop one. I even purchased the additional smedium camera packing cube to fit in it, but it does not fit the two camera bodies and lenses well (as I had expected) and I find that when clipped into the bag I have to open it too much to access the gear (resulting in the possibility of gear/equiptment falling out and breaking). The only small pockets are in the front of the bag, these are good but limited. The main pocket is a rolling top and the sides do not stretch/extend much so you can not really stuff it full. The very front pocket does not provide any additional stretch at all so when filling it takes up interior space by pushing into the bag instead of outward. If this bag had some sort of built-in interior pockets it would be much better. I previously had the Peak Design Everyday Backpack and it was SO MUCH BETTER! Pockets and storage for days, accessible side pockets, laptop sleeve, etc. I switched because I wanted something that had the hip straps for the backcountry/hiking I do with my gear. It was a mistake and this bag is so poorly designed that I may never purchase another Peak Design bag again.

So comfortable

Bought this bag and the sling 2L. Have the 15L zip as well. Very happy with the buy. The bag is super comfortable and so easy to dig in. Few comments: 1. Another pair of zippers would've made this perfect like the zip bag has. 2. Not comfortable and not intuitive to connect the sling to the bag. The set up is too much and I always prefer letting go of the connection.

Okay but...

The bag is nice overall speaking, can load a lot of stuff in it while still maintaining a relatively slim profile. However after three months of everyday usage the front-left zipper puller was broken. As shown in the photo attached I have to tie the two strings up in order to continue using it. Is there any warranty service for this part?

Unique in its own way

Me and my partner share this bag. It´s perfect por her height (165cm) and a little short for me (185cm) if I use the hipbelt. The design will take some hikes to master it if you are used to the "normal" hiking bags, but it´s on point. The best: the shoulder pads and straps, the distribution of the space and full back-opening. The worst: it lacks 1 small pocket in the inside and if you go throught spiky bushes the side-pockets will get damaged.

My outdoors self found a bag!

I backed the kickstarter and it came. I already had the everyday zip but this bag is a big larger and provides space for my life out and about in the wilderness or going to pick up groceries. The highlight is the harness and the deep bottle pouches on the sides super comfortable and great storage!

Fantastic backpack

Bought it a couple of months ago. Using it for a daily work bag / commuting and for weekend outdoor stuff with kids, snowboarding, hiking, etc. Love it. I wasn't expecting to like the quick open front stuff pocket so much, it's great for shoving snacks, jackets, gloves etc. Water bottle holders are nice and deep.

Lots of pockets, and easy access

Used the PD Outdoor Backpack 25L for a week skiing. In 20 degrees minus it is annoying that you can't use the chest-strap without taking your skigloves off. The strap system is too tiny and very difficult to use with big gloves on.

Some stuff is amazing, some not as much.

There are some general awesome features on this product. All other PD products I've bought have been amazing. The general build quality is pretty high. Zippers feel awesome and some cool details are generally on the pack. Pack works very well with SMedium cube. Sidepockets are awesome - they are unbelievably huge! Shoulder straps are fairly comfortable, wide. Feels good, though, very warm in even when used for snowshoing in -20dgrC. The hook system for the chest support is rubbish and practically impossible to open with one cold and wet hand or when wearing gloves. Same goes for the attachment strings which uses the same system. The roll top is a reasonable solution, but does not stay safely shut when riding bumpy singletrack. The hipbelt is hard to tell. Because, the fit of the backpack is for rather short backs. It's definately not suitable for tall scandinavians. The hip belt sits mid-abdominal even when the backpack is hanging so low, it's bouncing a lot around. So, as a day working pack it's reasonably good, but it's a bit of a stretch from a proper outdoor pack than can handle actual severe usage without squeaking and stuff you can operate when youre wet and cold. Which the outdoors tend to be :)

Versatile Design

The flexibility of this backpack filled all my needs and wants on a recent trip to Florida National Parks. Very impressed with fabrication quality.
