No quandary about it.
Spring weather can change on a dime, but there's no need for uncertainty when you have the Patagonia Women's Quandary Convertible Pants. Patagonia added a zipper around the thigh so you can start your day with full-length pants when air's still chilled. And when the sun comes out with a vengeance after lunch, you can wear the Quandarys as shorts to let your legs cool off. If all you desire is capri-length pants for a river crossing, Patagonia kept the tab and button on the sides, so they're easy to roll up and secure before step into the icy-cold river water.

1st Review *sizing*
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: 6 then an 8
- Height: 5'7"
- Weight: 138lbs
In jeans im a size 4. Smaller waist...a bit of a butt and thighs as in sometimes a thigh gap...sometimes not. I bought a 6 originally....they fit great in the waist. Not baggy...no waist gap. Fit in the butt. Great.
Come to the thighs and the zipper for converting to shorts. Too tight and not comfortable or forgiving obvs bc the zipper. The constriction around the thigh in that area was awful. I couldnt imagine having to highstep up boulders or having to squat down for a low scramble in them without feeling as if the zipper would split. Not too mention the lack of freedom of movement.
Size up to an 8. Great for the thighs. More freedom. However baggier fit at waist with a gap. Thankfully there is a cinch string inside the waistband.
Everything else is as advertised. Lightweight. Comfortable fabric. Will update after my hikes in the Adirondacks.
Slender athletic build. Will use for hiking / backpacking
