Maple Grove Canvas Jacket

A work jacket isn't much good if you can't move enough in it to actually work. To solve this problem, Patagonia built the Men's Maple Grove Canvas Jacket using a stretch canvas fabric and bellow-pleated shoulders to allow plenty of freedom of movement for everything from chopping wood to shoveling the driveway. Of course, just because it's flexible doesn't mean it's not tough—it's got plenty of abrasion-resistance to withstand daily duties, and its DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish sheds light rain and snow when the clouds gather. A pile fleece lining in the body and low-profile Thermogreen insulation in the sleeves keep you toasty on frigid mornings and offer a cozy feel, while the stowaway hood deploys in a pinch to shield you from sudden winter storms.

  • Classic work jacket imbued with modern stretch and cozy fleece
  • Canvas fabric is tough, yet flexible for cold days of work
  • DWR finish sheds light rain and snow to keep you warm in bad weather
  • Soft fleece lining traps warmth to keep it toasty on cold mornings
  • Thermogreen insulation in the sleeves provides dynamic comfort
  • Bellow pleat on shoulders offers increased range of motion
  • Stowaway hood zips into collar when blue skies are in the forecast
  • Internal pocket has media-compatibility to help you jam on the range
  • Item #PAT01ZO

Nice but...

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Be prepared to take it to a tailor. I'm 6'3 and the large is still too long in the sleeves. Back has a little extra material like it was made for fat guys. I may take in the back too. Only worth it if you can get it on sale due to the need for alterations. Patagonia should be embarrassed and Backcountry should give me a credit for the extra spent to make this fit.

I bought this as a gift for my husband. He is 6'4" and thin and wears a size Large. This jacket checked all of his boxes....except.... the length is all too wrong and weird. It cuts really short and makes the back poof out. Other than that, the color, material, arm-length, and quality were all 5 stars. This particular style just is not designed for someone who is long and lean, which is too bad because it was almost perfect.

I love this jacket but found it to fit a little big. The arms were too long and it is a bit wide, otherwise its a very warm and durable jacket. Maybe a medium would have been better. Great for someone who is more burley and not a stick like myself. A great casual jacket that can be used for work as well.

A vey nice, comfortable jacket, but the arms are oddly long and the waist is short. It made for a bad fit on my tall, slender frame. Wish it would have fit better, I love Patagonia.

Robert Redford

This thing is really nice quality and very comfortable. It has nice long arms and it feels like Robert Redford has broken it in for you. It’s a great classic jacket from Patagonia.

This coat checks so many boxes. It's casual but also a little bit dressy so I can wear it for work. It's soooo comfy and warm; the fleece lining is soft and the neck is tall and snug. The handwarmer pockets are ideal for when it's not quite cold enough for gloves. And the price is right. The shoulders are designed to flex, so you can move like a normal human without restriction. You can tell that the folks who designed this spend alot of time working and moving around outside. The length is also perfect for me. It's not super short like a carhartt duck coat but also not so long you can't access pockets or wear a toolbelt. The zip out hood seems kind useless, that's my only real complaint. I'm 6'1 215# and the XL fits perfectly.

Great looking fall jacket

This is an awesome jacket for the shoulder seasons here in Utah! It's good looking, comfortable, and fits great!

Hey Jake, I'm 6'4" too and was worrying this jacket might be too short in the torso. Where does it hit you? Thanks!

Great Transitional Jacket

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I bought this as a gift for my Fiance and this is what he said "This jacket lives up to the Patagonia brand reputation, perfect for wearing while camping, on a fall hike, or to work in the winter. It can be worn with dressier clothes or casual clothes. The jacket bottom sits at the hips so I would not recommend this jacket for snow days. A nice feature I like about this jacket is the hidden hood that is zipped in the collar. I do wish the jacket was a little thicker, the Sherpa lining is not enough in the winter months to wear by itself. I would say this jacket is ideal for Fall and early Spring."
