The five-panel mid-crown shell is 100% organic cotton in a denim or corduroy construction that wears in naturally and holds its structure over time. Recycled polyester fleece lines the interior and the earflaps, adding real warmth against wind without adding meaningful bulk. Chin strings let us tie the earflaps up when conditions are mild and secure them down when they're not, which keeps the cap functional across a wider temperature range than it has any right to cover. The short flat brim keeps sun off without turning a cold-weather cap into something it isn't.
