Infurno Jacket

Other than a flat-billed cap and pants that hang low in the rear, the only thing your budding skater dude is missing is the Patagonia Boys' Infurno Jacket. He skates so long as he can see some pavement, so why not keep him warm and in fashion, since he's going to be outside regardless of what you say. This jacket hangs a bit longer than others, so it will protect the top inch of his undies. A sturdy nylon faille shell fends of speed-generated wind, and a generous helping of pile fleece keeps his core warm. Thermogreen insulation in the sleeves keep his arms warm as they windmill frantically to keep him from falling. The straight cut and multiple pockets give your son an air of utility, keeping in line with his too-cool-for-style persona.

  • Everyday jacket insulated for warmth and protected against weather
  • DWR and PU treatments resist raindrops, snowflakes, and winds
  • High-pile fleece lines the hood and body for warmth and plush comfort
  • Handwarmer pockets are accessible via top flaps or size zippers
  • Item #PAT3368

I bought this jacket for my soon- to- be 6 year son. At first I thought this jacket looked a little thin and didn’t look very warm, especially the arm part. But my son says it’s warmer than other warmer looking jacket and he loves it. I also love its style and color(forge grey)—looks so cool! My family all love Patagonia and I think kids’ clothes are so adorable!!!

The jacket is super warm Has plenty of pockets Keeps my 6-year-old super warm, he likes the style, and like the material, loves the pockets and fuzzy inside. Plays out in the snow with just a thin long sleeve shirt on and comes inside sweating. I do agree that the hood is a little small but my son still loves the jacket.

Great everyday jacket

My son loves this Patagonia jacket. He says it’s warm and comfortable. I love that the pockets work two ways, as buttoned pouches accessible from the top, or hand pockets from the side, nice for storing small items or snacks but still be able to warm his hands. My only gripe is that we find the hood to be too small. My son does have a slightly larger head, but we’ve not experienced this problem with other jackets, so not sure if it’s him or just this model. Nonetheless, we still love it for everyday use!

My son grew out of his old Infurno after two solid years of use. I tried showing him some other ski jackets, but he insisted on getting another Infurno in the next size up. Even though it is light on insulation, it keeps him dry and warm enough, skiing and playing in the snow in New England. I think he likes that it’s not too bulky on days when he wears it to school. His old one shows very little wear, so I highly recommend this jacket for any kid.

My little nephew looks so adorable in this and now he can stay warm and cozy (plus he matches with his dad's tan jacket now too).

Small and medium

My 6 yo son likes to wear this on cold and rainy days. It repels water well and is warn to wear in high 30 to 40 degree weather. He is on the smaller side of the scale and in height, so small size fits right. I also bought him a medium to eventually wear.

One coat, multiple uses...

Familiarity:

This is our first run with the Infurno and I can’t complain. It has been a hit for both of my boys. It has a simple design which is perfect for our needs. Tough outer layer and soft, warm fleece on the inside. No need for multiple layers which is a hit for active kids. It’s used for everyday winter wear as well as on the slopes. Great having only one coat for multiple uses! Zipper and snap front, ++. Snaps at the wrists to keep the snow out, +++. Areas for improvement...a zipper on the front pockets instead of snaps. It doesn’t bother the kids, but the mom in me would prefer it. Also, please make a girls version! I couldn’t convince my 6 yr old daughter on the boys color/patterns. Besides that, may be our winter go to over the upcoming years.

I love this jacket for my 8 year old! I bought the navy with natural colored fleece. Size medium is perfect. I like the durable outer material and the fleece on the inside is soft. The design of it is great - simple, but with some style. The only negative is no hang hook on the inside. Very annoying since all of our other boys Patagonia items have the hook. Recommended for sure.

I bought this for my god-son and love the quality. The jacket is not only warm but very lightweight! He loves the fleece inside and the outer fabric blocks out the cold wind.

I had to buy the next size to have on hand as my son is so in love with it he is already worried about growing out of it. This is just a great piece. Its very warm but not so warm that its not everyday functional. Its also hyper easy to wash - just drop it in the washer. The DWR is extremely durable. Add a fleece Jkt under it and its good to go for 0º temps. Note it does not allow the hood to be synched down or a draw string at the hem. I will be storing these for his kids. Even cooler in the photo he's pointing up at Tommy Caldwell & Kevin Jorgeson sending the Dawn Wall on El Cap free for the first time!!! This Jkt has seen history!

Great All-Purpose Jacket!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size

My kids are basically outside all winter--skiing, sledding, snowman building, snowball throwing, and sometimes just going to school takes place in a blizzard. I'm not ready for them to have multiple jackets yet--a warm winter coat for school and playing, and a shell for layering when they are on the slopes, so the Inferno Jacket has been the perfect compromise. This jacket is lined (so soft!) so it provides an extra layer of warmth and I know it's a good jacket to send him to school in and keep him warm outside playing. But it's not too warm or bulky for an all-day ski day, and we can still layer up with a fleece underneath to ensure he's warm, or just a capilene on sunny days. The length is perfect and keeps snow from going up his back in even the deepest powder, and the water rolls right off. The pockets are big and perfect for stashing a few snacks and there is even a front zipper pocket--it fits his ski pass perfectly. This really is our go-to jacket for all our winter adventures, and you can't beat the price, especially since it's Patagonia and we know we will pass it down (and down and down) after he outgrows it. My guy is 9 (he's pretty little for his age) and he's wearing the Medium.
