A comfortable climber is a hampi climber.

You want to stay cool on the wall, but bunched up shorts under your harness are anything but comfortable. The Women's Patagonia Hampi Rock Pant is an easy way to stay pleasantly cool on a sunny multi-pitch or stuffy gym without sacrificing comfort or modesty, and the hemp-polyester blend is lightweight and breathable without sacrificing durability, so you can take it up a rough crack or two. The pockets and waistband are designed for barely-there comfort beneath your climbing harness, articulated knees give you on-the-wall mobility, and the elastic cuffs are easy to pull up when you need extra ventilation.

    • Lightweight climbing pants for warm crags or stuffy gyms
    • Hemp blend offers breathable comfort that's abrasion resistant
    • Articulated patterning promotes optimal climbing comfort
    • High stretch waistband lies flat and comfortable beneath harness
    • Elastic cuffs offer a low-bulk view of your foot placement
    • Internal envelope stash in right pockets keeps your keys secure
    • Patagonia designs their clothing with eco-friendly construction

    Awesome pants!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 136lbs

I love these pants! They are super soft and comfy to climb in. They look really nice- fitted but not too tight. I feel like I can high step and they are nice and lightweight for spring and summer climbing. Would definitely get them again!

    I love these pants!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XS
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 115lbs

I am so happy I got these pants. The fabric feels great and the fit is perfect on me.

    Interesting Pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium
    • Height: 5'5"
    • Weight: 136lbs

I bought these for rock climbing and was a bit thrown off by the material when I got it as it feels a bit more stiff than I had anticipated and wasn't sure how that would work for climbing and needing some stretch in the pants but after one wash and wear they are softer and are pretty good for the purpose I intended. The dolomite blue is true to the colour online. I think the pants fit true to size for me, they aren't super tight but aren't like hanging off me either.

    Might Size Up

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 160lbs

Like other people mentioned, getting these pants over your butt can make you think, "Did I get the right size?" But once they're on they feel right. I might size up anyway to get more mobility in the knee because they still feel a bit constrained while climbing.

    Pink pants... WHAT!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XS
    • Height: 5'1"
    • Weight: 115lbs

I got these pants in the pink color and LOVE them, very unique, comfortable and breathable. Perfect casual or climbing pant which is what I am using them for. At first the fabric was a bit itchy (I have super sensitive skin) but after a wash they were totally fine! The only weird thing is they are hard to pull on and off, the elastic waistband has a seam under it that is on the tight side so I kind of have to shimmy into them but once they are on they are a perfect fit everywhere!

    Nice fabric, but size variability

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XXS
    • Height: 5'0"
    • Weight: 104lbs

I bought this for my wife, and these are her thoughts. I am 5’0, 104 lbs, and the XXS are the perfect length, but are a little too tight in the hips, and hard to put on. There seems to be some variability in the sizing, because I tried on the same sized Hampi pants in a different color, and those fit perfectly. The Tasmanian Teal is a very pretty blue-green color and the fabric is soft and light weight. 4 stars for size variability.

From Gym Season to Summer Outdoor Climbs

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: extra small
    • Height: 5'5"
    • Weight: 105lbs

Great pants for climbing. Got these for gym climbing season but I can tell these will be great year round for a breathable pant for summer climbing outdoors. The material is soft and flexible and not restrictive in movement at all. Might fit a little on the larger side which I was anticipating since they are supposed to fit loose, but the XS is just small enough to fit me at 5'5" 105. Great purchase.

Love the design but poor stitching

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 145lbs

I love the color and style of these pants. I wore these pants while cycling one weekend. I noticed that in the right leg below the knee, the stitching frayed and looked almost "ripped" because of the material. But it really was just the stitching coming undone. The pants feel great and are comfortable but I wish it didn't rip after my 1st or 2nd wear. For the price and what I expect of Patagonia, I'm a bit disappointed.

    I love these pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 128lbs

They are amazing. At first, I thought they were hard to get on, but after a few washes, they became much easier to put on. They have become my favorite pants of all time and are super flattering to my athletic body type. I am highly considering purchasing in another color. (Tip: with getting the pants off and on easily is to only pull from the elastic waistband and not from the hemp)

    Climbing and Everything Else

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 125lbs

I'm wearing these pants right now and have no intention on climbing today. I bought these for climbs, and have found them to be so comfortable and versatile that I wear them QUITE often. They are a little tricky to take on and off because the of tie-waist but that doesn't bother me much. The stretch waistband, internal pockets, and overall structure of the pant are great for long days on the wall. Would also be great for travel, long hikes or general casual wear.

great pants but hard to get on

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: medium

This pants fit great once they are on. But, getting them on over my hips is a struggle! I ordered a Medium and probably should have gotten a large. I usually wear a size 8 in jeans and i'm 5'10.

    Great pants! Odd waist band

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'3"
    • Weight: 125lbs

I love these pants, they are flattering and slimming but still loose and casual. I have used them both around town, for working at the farm, and for climbing. The articulated knees and cuffed leg are very cool, and the deep pockets are highly functional. The right pocket has an extra stretchy inner pocket that holds your phone securely while climbing. I couldn't figure out how to make the phone-in-pocket work with my harness at first, but then I accidentally climbed with my phone in my pocket and didn't even notice -- it's just a matter of getting the leg loops high enough/phone tucked in enough. That's a great feature for multipitches with beautiful views that should be documented.

However I did a bit of off-widthy climbing in these and while the fabric held up, it started to pill/wear a bit and I wouldn't do that again (but no one should ever climb off-width in a pant that they care about, so that's my fault!) I wore them on a very hot day of climbing, with a long and steep approach, and found that the fabric was great in all conditions.

I'm 5'3" with muscular legs and usually wear a size 4 or 27 in Patagonia pants. The cuff hits right at my ankle, so they look cute with sandals in that athleisure sort of way, for around town. The small fits well although the waistband is quite loose, even after a run through the dryer.

The oddest thing about the pants is that the waist belt is made of stretchy yoga-like fabric and it isn't adjustable, and my waist is a tad too small for the band so it's not effective in holding the pants up. Where that 2" wide stretchy section meets the rest of the pant is a draw-string tightening system. This means that the tightening system is at the widest part of your hips, not above, which is just not the best system for most women's bodies, IMO. That's why I'm giving only 4 stars.

    A warm-weather favorite.

    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 140lbs

My partner and her best friend each have a pair of the Hampi pants for climbing, camping, and convincing unaware passers-by at the crag that it's "International Twin Day." She wears a size S as a pair of capris at 5'9" and 145lbs, and the 5'4", 115lb BFF wears and XS as proper pants.

    A warm-weather favorite.

    So comfy and flattering!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: XS
    • Height: 5'3"
    • Weight: 120lbs

I have such a hard time finding pants that fit me well (I'm short with very short legs) but once I figured out my size in these I just fell in love. I had first ordered them in S and they were just too baggy for my taste, as well as too long. The XS is the perfect amount of baggy but a little more fitted in the butt-- it's more flattering that way anyways.
Aside from the fit, they're super comfy and perfect for climbing- I haven't seen any wear from use yet. I even wear them out sometimes since they're just cute pants in general.

Cool pants for the right body

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 124lbs

I really wish I could have kept these, but the fit just wasn't right. They are obviously a great quality and design - stretchy, flowy without being baggy, and the waistband lays nice and flat. I purchased an XS and a S to try on. The XS was a bit too tight and definitely too short and the S as perfect EXCEPT for in the waist. I had a huge space in the waist when I bent over, or lifted my legs to mime a climbing motion. I loved them so much otherwise that I thought about having them taken in, but I decided to return them.

All in all, I'd say give these a try. If you have more hips they might fit you perfectly and become your next favorite pair of climbing pants!
