    Perfect hat for activities!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Been looking for a hat which wouldn't turn my hair/head into a sweaty mess. This one is great. Breath-ability is top notch, and it also doesn't lose it's shape when it is stuffed in a bag, which is an issue I had with the other hats from Patagonia.

Best hat for lots of reasons

Super versatile and stylish hat, I have taken it everywhere and worn it for tons of different activities. The mesh breathes great, the coolmax liner wicks very well, and it never loses it's shape.

      Daddy-daughter win!!

Having a 4 year old is hard, especially one as strong-willed as mine is (just like her mother). Little did I know when I brought home matching camo Patagonia hats tonight that it will be the daddy-daughter equivalent of a best friend’s necklace. She loved them so much she insisted on sleeping with both of our new hats by her bed. I appreciate any opportunity to win as a dad. I recommend this hat to all customers, but make sure you buy one for your BFF too!

        Good but not great

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a vast improvement over the traditional trucker hat. Firm but soft bill make it a highly packable hat. Classic trucker shape. Good breathability. The part that is still lacking for me is the actual part of the hat, the sweat band, that sits against the skin. All hats irritate my skin especially when sweating. This hat is an improvement but not nearly as good as the visor equivalent. So the search for the perfect hat continues...

        -update-
Found the perfect trucker hat. Doesn't have the soft brim for easy pacakbility but has a vastly improved sweat band that doesn't irritate my skin and can accommodate my large noggin. Headsweats classic trucker hat. Give it a try.

        Classic Hat!

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This hat is a throwback for sure! The breathability and coolmax headband make this hat great for running or hiking on hot summer days. You can't go wrong with a retro-inspired hat that's actually technical!

        Go to trucker

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I like wearing hats while doing anything outside for sun protection/hair management. This is the best trucker hat option for any activity that might induce sweat as it is absorptive, lightweight, soft, and comfortable. It is also great for getting wet as it dries quicker than cotton truckers. Most common uses are trail running, hiking, and kayaking. The white mesh tends to get dirty easily but the hat is washable and cleans up well. It's got the patagonia logo so the quality is great and the style is both classic and timeless.

        Go to trucker

        Go to running hat...

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My to go running hat. Flexible/soft bill, light, breathes and absorbs sweat off my bald head when I run. Also can be tossed in the laundry and washes up well. Fits the bill for me.

        Great hat

Got this in the howling turquoise color. It's bright, and durable, and the bill never gets bent out of shape, no matter how many times it gets buried at the bottom of my bag. I've worn it hiking, camping, at the beach, and just because I'm having a bad hair day. I get compliments on it all the time. It throws off a nice shade (the underside of the brim is black), so if you're sitting in the bright sun you can still see without needing sunglasses. Great hat.

          Best hat ever

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Duckbill trucker hats are the best. It's a little bit expensive for a hat, but definitely worth it. They're made out of different material compared to patagonia's other cotton trucker hats and the bill is flexible so you can shove it in your bag and the bill will pop back into place (though haven't kept it smashed for very long). Also the material makes this hat dry super quick.

I own two different colors and I literally wear them everyday during my morning runs. To me this is honestly the perfect running/trail running hat. I've ran numerous marathons and half-marathons in them, they're just so lightweight and breathable.

Pro-tip: After every run I rinse my hat off in the bathroom sink and let it soak in the sink for a little bit with some baking soda, and just hang it to dry to keep the stink out. I washed my first hat in the washing machine and it caused the front panel to separate from the back a little bit. Still perfectly useable and you can't notice it unless you take the hat off, but I was sad when that happened.

          Own two - want more

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These hats are the best. I wear them running and hiking on the trail because they are lightweight, suck up the sweat, dry quickly, and are machine washable.

I wear them everywhere else (work, out with friends, anywhere) because they are comfortable and look sharp like a classic Patagonia Trucker.

          Highly recommended.

          Nailed it!

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I live in hats and this is my new go to. I have only had it for about a week, but I don't think I've taken it off yet. So far it has proved to be a great looking hat with great performance on the trail while running and out cruising on my bike around the city. I personally have one of the lighter colored versions and thought for sure that it would get scuzzy right away as I tend to obsessively adjust my hats on my head and my hands are usually dirty when I'm out on the trail, but I have been pleasantly surprised. I would recommend this hat to any person who is looking for a functional trucker hat that performs just as well in the bar as it does on the trail.

          Super fast drying

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This thing is great. The bill has a moldable feel to it so I like to tilt it to whatever side I need if side hilling on a trail for a while. Additionally it dries out really fast when soaked through with sweat, and water.

          Amazing!

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have a tiny pea head and often find that trucker hats make my melon look way weird. That is until I discovered the Patagonia Duckbill Trucker. I bought this hat specifically for running and hiking and after a year's worth of use, it's been nothing short of awesome and everything I needed in a hat. The Supplex panel dries quick and the sweatband wicks away moisture while the adjustable rear buckle is super easy to adjust and doesn't cause any unsavory pressure points. The bill itself is generous and keeps the sun out of my face while I run. Seriously awesome hat! Oh, and I've thrown in the washing machine after it got pretty gnarly last summer and it was totally fine. Air dried it and made sure the bill didn't get warped.

          PROBLEM: Comes with glue inside

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this hat based on its slick look, and airy mesh sides. Little did I know it would become glued to my head after wearing it for ONE DAY. I haven't taken it off since, and probably won't even try to peel it off until it becomes a manky pos.

          The only hat you need!

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Assuming this hat fits your head it will undoubtedly become your go-to lid. I just ran my first half marathon and didn't feel the need to take it off for a second. The Coolmax headband absolutely does its job and it's light enough that you're likely to forget you have it on. The black underside of the brim cuts glare, you can shove it in a bag without worrying about the brim bending out of whack and perhaps most importantly, it looks cool. Definitely give this hat a look.

          The only hat you need!

Is there an anticipated date for when the duckbill trucker hat will be in stock again?
