Why We Like The Snowcrew Pant

We do one thing when winter comes along in our region—we chase powder. That requires a pant that can keep up with our rampant searches deep into the hills or at the local resort. That pant is the Snowcrew Pant from Outdoor Research. Fully waterproof, highly breathable, and extremely mobile, the Snowcrew keeps us reared and ready to go while we scout for staches of kneck deep snow at our favorite riding locations.

Warm and Dry

Went skiing and my legs stayed warm and dry. Breathe well and shed snow. Good features in the pockets and cuffs, well laid out. They fit pretty baggy, more of a snowboarder style. I liked them well enough that after I got back from skiing I bought the snowcrew jacket. They are lighter than I expected so I didn't think they'd be so warm, I guess modern synthetic insulation has gotten pretty good.

OK Ski Pant

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
Large

The pants are fine. Could use a back pocket and a more stout fabric. I purchased in a copper color which I like and is quite nice. Not warm enough for a really cold day (anything below about 10 degrees) but they are roomy enough for a thick base layer.

Probably would not order again

I have not worn as they are too big - I should have ordered a medium. I will return. Dick

Very nice

Actually pretty warm for how thin they are, You can layer underneath they fit well around the waist and they're nice and waterproof

Very happy with these pants

I'm very happy with these pants so far. The waterproofing seems to be great. The vents are long and work well. They are comfortable. Warm, but not too warm. Overall, these are great. I do wish there were more pocket options. I don't understand why these wouldn't have rear pockets, or at least something in addition to the normal front-thigh pocket. But that is my only criticism. My jacket has enough pockets to make up for it.

Great pants

Warm pants in 32F PNW weather. Fit as expected; not too baggy but enough not to be constricting. Only a couple of small pockets though. Cranberry is more red than orange. Powerstrap pass uthrough is a great idea.

Good light insulated pants

Wore them on a windy Winnipeg day with wind chill at -25. Can't go much more than -15 without another form of insulation underneath them, but for anything above this temperature they are a solid light weight waterproof and mostly wind proof pant!

Well made, comfortable, and warm

I bought these to ice climb, sleight ride and ice skate with my 5 yr old, and snowmobile. Very warm to -15 in Lake Placid, NY. Very cold and snowy place and these pants handle it with ease. Love them.

Baggy.

20 resort days in and not a mark on them. These have a light fabric which has held up better than expected from the feel. The lower legs are too big. The snow cuff elastic is way too loose and doesn't grip on my ski boots, essentially useless..The thigh pockets are well placed and work fine. I am in between the M and L, and went with the L to fit my thighs. The waist has Velcro adjustments but the elastic is too stretchy and the pants slip down as you ski. A mixed bag overall.
