    Best value on the mountain.

The Outdoor Research Men's Revolution Glove offers premium protection from winter weather at a price that costs less than the average lift ticket. Ventia waterproofing keeps snow and slush at bay, and the supple, yet durable goat leather palm helps you keep a grip on your poles and resists damage from sharp edges. The EnduraLoft insulation is mapped to provide more warmth where you need it most and less where you don't. A ladder-lock wrist cinch and DuoCinch gaunlet closure team up to seal out frigid gusts and rogue snow.

    Pretty darn solid

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Honestly, I bought these gloves because they were nice and inexpensive. They keep my hands warm in 20+ conditions, but lower than that they get cold. Definitely a good inexpensive glove or backup glove.

    Not Sure yet

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I wore these to hike Mt Washington
They did great once I got above tree line kept me nice and warm. Love the big pull loops and the wrist straps.
When I descended below tree line it started to downpour and the glove totally soaked through.
Not sure if I need to use a treatment The gloves other than soaking through are awesome Did stay warm when wet.

Warm, 1000% waterproof, lots of features

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It's fits like your standard snowboard glove. It has every detail worked out perfectly. Comes on and off very easily. Liner and insulation stays in place perfect. Really an amazing glove and a lot cheaper then some other gloves that offer the exact same or less for twice the price. OR always delivers.

    Hot Box

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have hands that run warm so these things are just too dang hot for me!

That being said they are excellently constructed and would be incredibly durable. After ice and mixed climbing I have put some gloves through the freaking ringer and these are made as well as any others that I have punished and have stood up well.

    finally a great glove

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Quite warm for a glove (compared to mitten).
Gators are very effective and not too big and goofy.
Security straps (which are a must in my book) are great and quality

Just a great glove. Very glad I purchase them.

    Great Glove

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These are super solid gloves---very warm, well-fitted, and good articulation. Easy to adjust and look good too! Recommended for sure.

    Sturdy, WARM, and well constructed.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These gloves fit the quality that I have come to expect from OR. That means great materials, sturdy construction, and well thought out features. On top of that these gloves are SUPER WARM! Now, let me qualify that last statement. I can wear my BD Punishers down to 0° F. Unfortunately they were too warm for me as I was looking for a lighter glove, but if I had needed them I would be stoked as hell to own them!

I wore them outside for a while at 22°F and did not "use" them.

i wanted to know if these gloves are suitable for hiking / mountaineering. they are categorized under ski gloves so i am confused.
