Light and warm
I have only used these mittens once so far, but they warmed up my already cold fingers in a few minutes. Great for backpacking or for packing an extra warm layer for you hands in case or emergency, as they are really light and compressible, yet feel very warm. I wouldn't use to grab onto things (poles during hiking/skiing or rocks during scrambling) as they don't seem very rough, but that's not what they are meant for anyway and you can layer under a goretex shell mitt.

Warm and cozy!
I am 5'2 and the XS was perfect and had space for my hand to move around. I LOVE them - the color is so vibrant, and I love that they clip together so they can't get lost.

I have only wore these a few times while walking my dogs but they are definitely warm. I actually took them off a few times because my hands were almost too warm. Tested them out on a 25 degree morning.

I freaking love these. They saved my fingers on a cold backcountry day. I don’t see them being an all-the-time glove, but perfect to have in your pack.

Great lightweight warmth in a small package size
I bought these along with the Commuter gloves for my outdoor winter photography. The gloves were for working with the camera, and these Mitts were to slip into if my hands got chilled. They are wonderfully warm, fit well (I use XL for all my OR gloves and mitts), and compress to nothing so they take up minimal space in my pack.

My hands are finally warm on freezing dog walks!
I recently moved to Montana and have chronically cold hands. These down mitts keep my fingers toasty even in single digit temps.

Very warm, runs large
First and foremost, these mitts are incredibly warm. As someone who typically prefers five-finger gloves, these have been easy to transition to and I don't notice a huge reduction in dexterity when performing simple tasks. They do seem to run on the larger side though. I normally wear a medium glove, however, these have a ton of extra room, enough for both hands if I could fit them through the cuff.

So warm
Great gloves. I have relatively small/typical size hands for a woman of 5'4". I got these for starting off on very cold days hiking or xcountry skiing to use until my body temp reaches my hands and they work great.

Better than expected at -30C and below
Recently took these on a trip in Canada's north. I didn't expect them to be able to perform next to heavier duty down mitts, but these came through for me to my surprise. It was an opportunity for me to test their limits where I had thicker, warmer mitts on hand, and these really did come through and impress. Even snowmobiling at -30, I wore these with no liners and while yes, I had heated grips, I was surprised that at 100km/h the cold wasn't biting through the down. My only complaint is that the thumb is a little under-insulated. The mitts are a bit floppy with all the down on the back of the hand that I'm not quite sure why there isn't more on the thumb. An improvement in my mind would be to add leashes. When taking them off to do something requiring dexterity, I had to find somewhere to stuff these. Durability wise, the silicone on the palm had some crease marks in it after gripping the bars on the snowmobile. I don't know if this is a concern or not, and they don't seem to be damaged, so I think it's more cosmetic. They're definitely not a heavy duty mitt though so I think this is quite reasonable.
