Good quality with poor design

Fit nicely, but odd pockets which are more in the front than the side and odd button which scrunches the front of the pant.

Versatile Outdoor Pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Softshell outer face is great for wind and precipitation. Inner fabric is soft enough for next to skin comfort but doesn't add an insulating layer. Great for alpine hiking, early/late season ski mountaineering, and winter backpacking.

Tough pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bad boys are durable and give nice freedom of movement. I've been using them as my tree chopping pants while clearing land. Can't wait to use them on the mountain.

Super lightweight trekking pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was surprised that they are so lightweight. I bought two different colors. Only thing that I would recommend is that they have a built in belt. I guess the new version has a belt but at the price I paid for them I can't complain. Very happy with the quality and performance.

Just what I was looking for!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was on the hunt for pants to wear during cross country skiing. These are perfect. They are comfortable with plenty of flexibility. I'm happy that I was able to find the Cirque Lite Pants for my adventures.

Wanted to Love These

I was looking for a lightweight alternative to my beloved Cirque II pants for use during shoulder season and summer alpine adventures, and these would've been great. The weight of the fabric and the stretchiness were perfect, and I really liked the cut. However, I ended up returning them. The biggest problem is a lack of inseam options. I'm 6'3" with a 34in inseam and 32 waist. Size L gave me a 32.5in inseam which worked okay with boots but looked high water with low top hikers. On top of that, the L waist size was way too big for me. I knew this going in, and I planned on getting the waist taken in but the pants were too complex for the tailor to work on. OR, please make inseam lengths a standard option in the future, you've already done it with the Cirque IIs and Ferrosis. It would make plenty of tall and short people alike very happy. OR is legitimately my favorite brand for gear, but dumb reasons like this always force me to choose competitors...

I haven't worn them in the trail, but...

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
6' 1"

I really like these trousers. I read some people having concerns about their sizing and, out of the bag, they fit a little strange: thighs too tight, waistline too large, tight in the butt, and strangely long. So I left the tags on them and wore them around the house for a couple of hours. I read. I did the dishes. I vacuumed. And guess what? They fit perfectly... Except for the length of the legs. On me, the length isn't that off. I have 30" legs and these are the short side of 32" inches. I can live with that cuff length over my boots. It might be a problem for low ankle footwear. The trousers are stretchy, as they're supposed to be. I can me bring my legs to level with my waist. (They might go further but I can't.) I found them a bit itchy at first, but that has gone away after 3 hours. The pants legs have stretched to fit my legs so maybe it was that they were tight at first? I guess it doesn't matter. My verdict? Buy a pair and give them a couple of hours to find the fit of your body.

Great pair of paints - One improvement

I have the normal Cirque pants for cooler weather and these are a great addition for warmer weather. The are true to size, I love the stretch, and have the added reinforcement where I need it. One thing I think would make these pants perfect is a boot hook, similar to my Cirque pants. I wear these in warmer weather which means I'm typically wearing my mid-height summer boots. The stretch cuff on these has a tendency to pull up above my boots immediately. They stay down fine on my full height mountaineering boots, but I typically don't wear those when I'm wearing these pants. I bought some replacement speed hooks for work boots and added one to each leg and they are great now.
