Good Design

I like the wrist strap that you can choose to use or tuck away inside the glove.

Terrific purchase

An everyday skiing glove. I used these at a resort as well as in the backcountry. They are warm and fit well. The leash is a must when you need to pull them off. The gloves have enough flex in them so your hands don't get cramped trying to overcome stiff leather. Terrific purchase.

Comfy and warm!

I purchased these since my older Burton gloves were becoming worn. I mostly have worn Burton gloves for snowboarding, being over & under sleeve, gloves & mittens, gortex & non-gortex; and so far these OR gloves have been warm and comfy to wear while snowboarding at Stevens Pass. My biggest issue with gloves in general is that my hand width sizes to be a medium most of the time, while my hand length is closer to a XS/S. These gloves I feel are a happy middle ground. I would be curious to have tried on the XS to see if the finger length would have fit my hand shape better, but in the era of COVID, this wasn't a test I was able to try. A feature I do miss from older gloves is the squeegee to be able to wipe snow/moisture off of my goggles. Pros: Warm Soft inner-liner Good palm width Wrist strap easy to tighten and loosen Hand/finger dexterity was expectable Cons: Index finger length a little long for my hand size No goggle squeegee (not a common feature now-a-days) Things not tested for: Moisture (Have not worn them in wet conditions) Sub 32 degree weather

No cold digits on the lift

Fits true to size. Great for ski hills or mountain snowmobiling in the cold. A bit of bulk but not bad considering the warmth and durability. Best bang for the buck. OR gloves are the best

Warm but frustrating if you take your gloves on & off a lot

First I have to admit finding gloves that fit from OR has been a problem for ME. And after multiple tries I have discovered that for my hand, I need men's size large in their liners, and size medium in their outerwear gloves--my advice, definitely measure your hand and use their guide, but you still might just be on the line--some of us just are. So at the risk of sounding like Goldilocks, after returning the Arete gloves earlier this winter, because the inner liner was extremely difficult to get into (the cuff was too tight) I really wanted to love the Carbides even though they don't have a removable liner. But unfortunately, there are two design flaws in my opinion: 1) the insulation extends up from the wrist to the end of the gusset--not a problem if your wrists get cold but unnecessary if you have good layering on your upper body from your coat, and so it makes the cuff unnecessarily bulky. 2) And this is my main frustration, the fleece inner liner extends all the way up past the wrist to the end of the gusset. This may not be an issue if you don't take your gloves off at all or never sweat. BUT if you are adjusting kids/students layers, bindings, etc., and/or you get capped or chaffed hands from exposure to cold climates (winter), then your hands may stick like mine did each and every time you go to put these glove back on. Previous gloves I've loved had a nylon liner for the gusseted area that was sewn to the fleece liner at the wrist level. On the positive side, I loved the Arcade keepers and the leather used is supple and grippy. But the liner was such a pain I will be trying to use the warranty.

Good for me to -15F

I picked up a pair of these for a snowmobile trip to NY state. When I woke up Sunday morning it was -15F...Never got above 10 degrees F all day. I wore these straight with no liner and my hands were never cold...grip and thumb warmers aside, they kept my hands warm when we were off the sleds. My big concern was the back of the hand from the wind but it was alright. Dexterity's a little low but that's what you get for super warm hands. I wish the cuff was just a little bit bigger to make it easier to get on over cuffs. The bridals are nice so you don't have to worry about dropping gloves...never noticed them which was a concern at first. All around, 9/10. I'd prob wear these skiing or snowmobiling from -20F to +20F...Anything warmer and your hands would prob get hot.

Very Warm Gloves

These gloves are perfect for skiing. The retention straps allow you to take the gloves off without worrying about dropping them. These gloves are very warm.

Good gloves

These gloves are windproof and seem to be waterproof. The very ends of my fingers get cold in them if I am simply standing. I don't get cold fingers in these gloves when I am skiing. I'd buy them again.
