Outdoor Research's number 1 rain jacket for women, the Aspire II Plus can handle almost everything with its excellent breathability and ventilation. Made with lightweight and packable GORE-TEX Pac Lite, this shell is durably waterproof and windproof—and extremely breathable—to keep us as comfortable as possible in wet weather. We also like the TorsoFlo vents, which unzip all the way from the hem to our biceps to dump excess heat and moisture. No wonder so many women pick it to be their casual rain jacket, wear it on soggy hikes and backpacking trips, or simply stow it in their pack as an emergency shell.

Seems like a great jacket
I haven't had this jacket long enough to know how good it works in a rainstorm. But it seems really great. It is light weight and comfortable. It appears to be a great rain jacket.

Incredible Jacket
I have used this jacket on multiple 3 week backpacking trips and for everyday use. It has kept me dry and held up incredibly well to lots of heavy use. Highly recommend!

Best fit and great light weight
The Aspire II is replacing two previous raincoats that had flaws. One was nylon so lightweight but not very rainproof and got hot. The other was Goretex but very heavy and no air circulation. This jacket beats both easily and is prettier to boot! The only thing it is missing is an interior pocket

Absolutely love!
Absolutely LOVE this jacket. It is soft inside, minimal rain jacket crinkly noise, colors are BEAUTIFUL, and it keeps the rain off so well that it doesn't even need time to dry once bringing it inside. You can simply shake the water off the rain jacket and it rolls off more easily than rain on a window pane. The hood is big enough to fit a bulky winter hat, a pony tail, or even a high bun while still protecting your face. I spent several months researching rain jackets to find one that would be breathable but not let the wind in, protect me from the rain but not start to feel damp inside, and have a hood big enough to cover my face no matter what, and this is the perfect one! Only note that I have is SIZE UP WITH BIGGER HIPS!!! As a 5'5" very curvy 145lbs who would get along very well with Sir Mix-a-Lot, I sized up from my usual Medium (where the bust and arms fit well, but was stretching the lower half such that I needed to undo the side zips a bit to accommodate) to a Large and the jacket does not lose any of its style, beauty, or functionality, nor are the arms significantly longer. Even with a size up, the jacket still looks fantastically feminine!

Great quality, great look
Got this for my wife. It's great. The only downside is that it could be a little more form fitting, and the hood is a little big, but the hood can be adjusted.
