Ortovox Ortler Gore-Tex Jacket packs light, tours far
The Ortovox Ortler Gore-Tex Jacket pairs a 2-way, helmet-compatible hood with zippered underarm vents built for the effort of a long skin track. An extended back covers the lower spine when reaching forward into a climbing position, and two backpack-optimized front pockets stay accessible even with a pack's hip belt cinched down. The same 3-layer GORE-TEX PERFORMANCE fabric that protects the Ortler Pant carries a waterproof rating of at least 28,000 millimeters here too, packed into a jacket light enough to disappear in a backpack.
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I open the underarm vents on the climb and dump heat fast, then seal the hood over my helmet the moment the wind picks up on the ridge. That kind of quick adjustment is what keeps me from stopping to change layers mid-tour."
