Kestrel Alpine Quickdraw

The Ocun Kestrel Alpine Quickdraw is designed for ultralight alpine and multi-pitch trad climbing and fast-and-light missions where minimizing pack weight and speed matter; it’s less ideal for heavy sport projecting or frequent hangdogging.

It uses lightweight wiregate carabiners—comparable to double-bent wire gates on ultralight draws—to make clipping easier while keeping weight down.

The draw pairs aluminum wiregate carabiners with a narrow, ultralight dogbone (likely Dyneema or slim polyester) and a thin sling construction that favors lightness over heavy-duty durability.

The small carabiners and ~10 cm dogbone fit the palm and save weight but can be harder to manipulate with large hands or gloves and limit extension; for alpine or long routes plan to carry a larger complement (commonly 12–18 draws) and include a few longer draws for anchors.
