Why We Like The Bridger Low B-Dry Hiking Shoe

Overgrown trails below treeline followed by knife-edge ridgeline scrambles en route to the summit are what pull us towards the mountains, so it only makes sense to wear shoes as adept at mountain travel as the Oboz Men's Bridger Low B-Dry Hiking Shoe. Conceived in the mountains of Montana, the Bridger is designed for the kind of hikes where trail traffic is minimal and the obvious path often ends before we reach our destination. The boot is equipped with a waterproof, breathable membrane to repel moisture from rain, puddles, and creek crossings, while a sturdy combination of nubuck leather and textile make the boots durable enough to withstand heavy and repeated use in the mountains. Oboz sandwiched the boot's TPU chassis between an aggressive rubber sole and cushioned EVA midsole, then added a nylon shank for added stability when traversing sloping trails and ascending steep scree.

  • Hiking shoe built for all trails in every condition
  • BDry waterproof membrane maintains wet weather protection
  • Nubuck leather upper with softer paneling around the ankle
  • Molded rubber heel and toe enhance rock protection
  • BFit Deluxe foot with stiff shank and cushy EVA underneath
  • Granite Peak rubber sole ensures all-terrain traction

These are relatively good hikers. I’ve gone thru 2 pair and I like them. Mostly because they fit. I usually wear a 10 and that’s what I’ve gotten. They wear out faster than I’d like and things like the rubber bumpers delaminate but as long as they fit and have decent wearing capabilities that’s what is important. I’ve bought other oboz and they don’t fit me, for whatever reason, so I’m sorta committed to these. I would much rather buy them at a cheaper price and have the company leave out the highly vaunted insoles as I will get better ones right away anyway. As you can see the uppers are in much better shape than the soles. They grip well, so maybe that’s the trade off.

Take my word for it, the soles are beat.

Hey All, First off, you should know that Oboz is a killer small company owned privately by the people that run it. Where else can you find that. Second off they plant a tree for every pair they sell, so they like to give back, and they believe in quality, fit, and service meaning the fit/support is killer, the materials are bomber, and if you ever have questions or a problem, you can count on them to make it right. BOOM! This shoe is good for anyone that needs a waterproof shoe that is bomber. It is one of the most bomber shoes in the Oboz line because of the full NuBuck leather upper. A lot of the other shoes are a sort of hybrid to blend leather and synthetic. Not so on this shoe. The waterproofing is great and breathes well too. The traction is killer and the lugs are deep. Also the TPU chassis make this a stiffer shoe for those of us that know what a REAL hiking shoe is suppose to feel like...

I have a narrow size 14 foot. Do your shoes run narrow or wide?

Hey Bill Oboz have a true to size fit, so arent a wide or narrow shoe but more of a traditional width.
