Hampsten would have killed for these.

Apart from their retro style, the Jawbreaker Prizm Sunglasses feature some of Oakley's most innovative technologies for the modern cyclist. Oakley's Prizm technology gives the Plutonite lens a shape that enhances the road so you can see any rock or pothole that comes your way. Plutonite filters out 100% of UVA, UVB, UVC, and harmful blue light up to 400nm, while High Definition Optics helps the lenses exceed American National Standards Institute's ratings for optical clarity, visual fidelity, and impact-resistance.

Oakley also coated the Jawbreaker Prizms' lens in Iridium to balance light transmission and reduce reflective glare. The Switchlock system, with its simple mechanism for simple-but-speedy switching makes all other interchangeable lens systems look like ancient artifacts. The Jawbreaker Prizms also feature Oakley's stress-resistant, lightweight O-Matter frame with slip-resistant Unobtainium pads at the nose and temples.

    Favorite riding glasses

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've worn these sunglasses on tons of regular after-work bike rides and on super long training rides and races. They sit perfectly on my face, don't let me get all sweaty under the nosepiece like some sunglasses, and keep my eyes shielded on all sides from wind and debris. They also fit perfectly against my helmet without feeling clunky or too small.

Try the different lenses too! The right lens choice is going to make all the difference.

    Pro Style and Technology!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Gave these as a gift for a friend, who says, "Oakley sets the trend in cycling eyewear and these glasses push the limits on several fronts. Most noticeably, I would classify the style as "looks great on the bike, but I wouldn't wear them without a helmet" category. But if you use them for riding, who cares! On the technology side of things, the Prizm lens is fantastic. Also, I love the ability to adjust the ear piece length. This is great for fit and for working with a variety of helmet retention systems. The only drawback is that visibility is slightly (very slightly) worse than my old Oakley Radars. The circular logo on the side catches your peripheral vision when looking over your shoulder. But after a few rides I've grown accustomed to this and it isn't a big deal. Overall, highly recommended."

Less fogging and less mess on the lens

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have used these and Smith Arena Max sun glasses. Smith has mainly moved to the Chromapop lens which I don't like due to odd reflections that I get. I don't have that issue with the Jawbreaker. When I'm riding these are less prone to fogging and seem to vent better. Further, I am actually able to wear these while climbing where as the Smith glasses, I would need to take off.

    To high!!!

The frame is to high,... it don’t fit with MTB helmets (at least with mine) the frame touches the helmet and that hurts the nose. It’s only in riding mode, if you stand with your helmet it seems to fit. The glasses are incredible, but with rain it gets super fast foggy. It’s also quite heavy. I am a big oakley fan, but I think they could do better Sport Glases this is the reason for only 2 stars

      Awesome

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was a long time pivlock fan for a while. Still have lots of love for those, but tried these out this year and am loving them. After the pivlocks I wasn't sure I could go back to having frame in my field of vision, but these are big enough that it's no problem. Overall they fit awesome, feel very protective, and don't move around at all while riding.

Always a love/hate with the Oakley lenses. The hate part is that they seem to acquire light scratches easier than most. However, aside from that the lenses are so damn good for clarity and varying light conditions. So keep your soft case handy and take good care of them and you'll be stoked!

      Sweet!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've used these sunglasses for paragliding and mountain biking so far. They're a great fit and surprisingly haven't fogged up on me. While paragliding in the winter it's really cold and I was worried about these glasses fogging up, but the design that Oakley has created is perfect for cold and windy conditions. I also really enjoy the interchangeable lens perk.

      Love 'em

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Yeah... I spent $200+ on sunglasses. No, they don't really make me faster. Yes, they make me look like RoboCop to drivers and hikers I pass.

I really don't care. These are fantastic. Punch the names Sagan, Cav, Schurter, Froome, Grotts, Kulhavy, or Fluckiger into Google Images and you'll see that from about 2014 onward, they don Jawbreakers almost exclusively. Simply put, the optics and coverage are stellar, and the aesthetics are even better. Pull the trigger, you'll look great. Or at least better.

      Wow!!! Nice Sunglasses!!!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

I was a little hesitant to throw down $200+ for a pair of sunglasses that I was only going to use for cycling (you will only use these for cycling, running, skiing etc.). I am glad I did! I have a great pair of "dark" polarized prescription Maui Jims that already work great for cycling. With my contact lenses in, the Prizm Road sunglasses are amazing. The Prizm Roads let enough light in, but at the same time, they filter enough light out. I can definitely tell a difference when going from sun to shade with the Oakley sunglasses.
I have only used these sunglasses a few times. I did have one ride where one of my contact lenses did get dry and I had to take it out. I am sure if I had "eye drops" that would have helped the situation. The other 3-4 times of use, I had no issue. I am a new contact lens user while cycling. If I have issues with the contact lenses, I will have my prescription placed in the glasses. That is how impressed I am with these sunglasses!

      Great Biking Glasses

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Height: 5'10"
      • Weight: 210lbs

Of all the glasses I have used for biking these top them all. Prizm technology is great in a wide range of light conditions, which is huge when riding in the evening or in an out of forested trails. The large profile of these glasses keeps dirt out and integrated vents keep them from fogging. Awesome option for skiing and running as well. If you have further questions feel free to give me a ring at the number above!

      Bike worthy

As a huge fan of Oakley I knew I was in for "good things ahead" when I ordered these. As a girl they can feel very... overwhelming? on your face. For the purpose of these sunglasses though they were bought for biking. They look unbelievably professional on with a helmet to match so be prepared for stares of the good kind. The prizm road lense gives optimal contrast and the wrap around style of these means contrast for every eye movement. Overall just a super solid purchase!

Yo bro! You cycle? Oh I couldn't tell since you're in those old half-jackets.

(cut to three days later thanks to Backcountry shipping)

Yo Bro! sick shades! How long you been racing for? What's your Strava name?

It's that easy.... look out Cavendish, here comes (insert name here)

        Looking pretty

        • Fit: True to size

I'll come back with a proper review. I just bought them and I'm yet to ride with them. I got the Cavendish Polish Black. This is a picture of how cool I look and what comes in the box.

Edit: I have something to say about them: They look really nice. I like the wide frame because it improves your field of vision horizontally and vertically.
The gaps around the lenses avoid fogging indeed this is a plus to me.
Despite its size (they look quite big) they are very lightweight. The Swithlock system is pretty easy to use.

I used them at noon under the bright Costa Rican sun and I didn't feel any discomfort whatsoever.

Do not think it twice and get one of these.

        Looking pretty

        Love the prizm trail

        • Height: 6'1"
        • Weight: 167lbs

While the lens is slighly light for use in full sun conditions, its a great protective lens that works on the tones found on the trail. It definitely makes the trail more defined and definitely protects. You also get to look like an 80's hair band wannabe...

        Excellent Coverage/Fit, Prizm is Amazing

        • Fit: True to size

I have a pretty small head so finding something that is narrow enough but still offers good coverage is tough. The adjustable stems help dial in the fit but the real champion here are the Prizm Road lenses. The tint is the great in both high and low light conditions.

        Clear

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: True to size

The new prizm lens offered by Oakley is absolutely awesome! Prizm enhances contrast and visibility over a wide spectrum of light conditions. The offer a variety of lens options for specific environments. The Jawbreaker frame makes it easy to swap lens by simply lifting the nose piece. You also have the option to customize the frame to your liking.

        Beer goggles for the bike

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: Runs large

Turn any 5 into a 10 with these eye windows on your face. I have always been a fan of Oakely eyewear and for good reason. The clarity in the lens has always been top notch. When the Jawbreakers first came out I was pretty hyped on the design even though it did take some time to get used to. I have a pretty large face and these fit they better than most other brands out there.

As far the Prizim lens goes... it is a game changer. With the trail version I was a little skeptical at first as they are not a very heavyly tinted lens. I would personally like a little more protection from the sun when riding in open area trails but where these lenses do shine is when you are riding a trail where you enter in and out of the shadows a lot. What they do is bring more contrast between the brown of the trail and the green of the foliage to help you see more details of the trail ahead. They work exceptionally when when you go from sun to shade, this is where a dark tinted lens can't hold a candle to these. I would say they are a better all around tint for whatever terrain you may encounter.

        Simply the Best

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

        • Height: 5'9"
        • Weight: 195lbs

I have two pairs of Jawbreakers with the Prizm road lens and they always perform. The vents on the lens mitigate any fogging issues that other Oakley glasses may have. The Prizm road lens is extremely sharp and is perfect most most riding conditions. I've put thousands of miles on both pairs and the coating shows no wear, although I do take pretty good post-ride care of my glasses. The glasses fit extremely well and are adjustable. I've worn the glasses for 8 hour rides with no pain above the ears. I've never had an issue. Not a bad word to say about them.

        Great for mtn and road.

        • Fit: True to size

I bought these for more coverage in the woods and better vision from the drops on the road. I have two pair, they fit well, never slip, and don't fog (I was surprised by that!) The adjustable temple length and thin end allow them to fit well with a helmet.
The Prizm trail lens is great for the woods. It's not too dark in most cases and really brings out the contrast.
For the road I like the Black Iridium for sunny days and the Photochromic lens for everything else.
The look is bigggg, but not too bad with a helmet on.
The design works and that is what is important.
