Not a great pants
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- M
- Height:

I bought these pants in April. I specifically bought them as they said they were weather resistant and for all seasons. The first time i got to wear them was Oct 1 (northeast) weather was cool but dry, Pants worked out great, vents worked no problem. Today i wore them just walking the dog in light to medium rain. They leaked virtually immediately, like there was no honeymoon period of dry. They leaked in the pockets, the zippers and seams. Enough to be uncomfotable. So glad i tested them before i take them on a planned over night trek. They look good but for me have zero functionality in inclement weather jeans would be better. Only a dry, dry/cold pants.

Nice Buy. Just Measure Yourself Well
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- S
- Height:
- 5' 8"
Bought both this and the non-Flex Svalbard. Although both are at 32W and 30 Inseam for Small as backcountry rep advised, I can only button up this one LOL. The elastic material of Flex1 feels really solid yet comfy. My thighs feel better in this one, too. The pants will last LONG. Fabric feels tough, and thicker than the Gamma AR pants from Arc'teryx. Tag says can tumble dry while the non-Flex cannot. According to Norrona, Svalbard has by far the most relaxed fit in the family, although on me it's still a good-looking athletic fit. Like it! The illustrated size chart provided by Norrora online rep suggests the way they take inseam measurement might make the inseam generally feel tighter/shorter than how you feel in your jeans at the same number - at least that's how I feel on both items. For those choosing between S and M, I will say if you are taller than 5'8" and don't want to feel tighter than how you feel in your 30" inseam jeans, you might want to try M first. I am OK with the fit after breaking it in.
