Why We Like The NEMO Riff 30 Sleeping Bag

NEMO's top-of-the-line backpacking bag for side sleepers, the Riff Endless Promise sleeping bag features premium down and an eco-friendly construction. One of NEMO's Spoon bags, the Riff offers extra room around the elbows and knees to make it easier for side sleepers to shift positions overnight while maintaining more of a mummy shape elsewhere to be more efficient and weigh less than a rectangular bag. It features impressive 800-fill down that's treated for water resistance, so we can have a lightweight, packable bag that's not as vulnerable to moisture killing its loft. Offering more temperature adjustments than other bags, the Riff also features Thermo Gill vents around the chest that we can open or close from inside the bag to add or subtract a few degrees to land on our ideal sleeping temperature. Finally, this sleeping bag is one of NEMO's Endless Promise products—which means it's 100% recyclable if we send it to NEMO at the end of its (first) life.

Comfort & Super Cozy Material- Small package!

I have been using the Riff 15 for over a year now, and am thrilled to report it is just as lofty and luxurious as it was on day 10. I love this bag and have been the envy of friends on several occasions due to the extra space the Riff affords me (over a traditional mummy bag). I love the pocket for my fillo pillow (I have the luxe and it fits well enough) also allowing me to tuck my puffy jacket in there to add extra height. I have also experienced condensation during the springtime in NE and the footbox has done a good job of rejecting the water droplets that gather at night. My only negative is that this bag is more narrow than I'd like for base camping/several days on site so I am thinking of picking up a larger option for those occasions with the new Endless Promise line. With products like this and an environmental focus like Nemo has you wont catch me with another company’s sleep system when I'm looking for balance of durability and comfort. Truly this bag is the perfect mix of packable and luxe. Well done, Nemo!
